I was quoted $75 for an estimate. Workers showed up and said that they need to run cameras. It will cost $275. They were here for less than 5 minutes and never went under the house, just looked. I share my personal pictures of the septic set up with them. Sent them away. I felt like the truth was somewhat shaded. I should have been told that a thorough estimate would be $275 and include cameras. I would have been alright with that. I am out 80.25 (taxes included) with no estimate whatsoever. Nevermore.

Great! Couldn't have gone better. John scheduled us for first thing in the morning & called to let us know he was on the way. We discussed replacement options. He replaced the 2 hot water heaters with higher quality heaters the same day. He did an expert job. He goes above and beyond by telling us how to maintain our new hot water heaters to greatly extend their lives. We used Pathmaker Plumbing before for a drain line that kept clogging for years. John cleared the clog, but also told us how to keep it from reclogging. It hasn't clogged in over a year now. He is an expert in his field and very professional. We will continue to use Pathmaker Plumbing for all our plumbing needs.

He didn't do the job. What he did was okay but I wanted to change out the fixtures in the shower. He never changed the spout. He was to change the fixtures to nickle. He did half the job. He took the valves out. He cut a hole in the wall. But he did replace it with a access door. He moved the shower head to a different shower and I don't know why he did that. The main thing was to change the fixtures to nickle and it still hasn't been done.

He fixed the toiled and it worked temporarily and then I had to hire someone else to repair it again. The money I paid Angie's List pretty much only covered the service call -- I had to pay additional funds. The plumber quoted me an astronomical price for fixing the leaking faucet -- got someone else to do the same procedure for much much less.

The repair we performed for you was only half of what was necessary for a long term fix because that's all you were willing to pay for. In fact, you didn't even know about the other problems until we made you aware. For which you were grateful. Then, per our usual service, we documented the potential problems with photographs and attached them to you estimate AND your invoice to ensure your property would not suffer any water damage. It seems you took our information and then called around telling other plumbers until you found a price you liked. Please keep in mind is was our great and thorough service that made you aware of your issue in the first place."

Bad. No written estimate bill not itemized to show cost of parts and labor. Tech very pushy. There two hours approx. 900.00 bill I estimate labor was 200. Per hr

On price I really don't have a good point of reference because it's a unique thing I had to have done quickly and unfortunately I didn't get other quotes. We had a little dispute on price that he finally agreed to support my way of thinking. I was a little disappointed the price was as quoted, but he indicated he ran into unexpected issues and my feeling was he should have understood that before he gave me a quote and we resolved it. I was satisfied with the result after discussions, but I was not happy that we had to have discussions.

As it is, I kept your wife in the loop every step of the way, only to find when you come home that she hasn't been communicating with you. So, Yes, we did what we were supposed to, but you simply weren't there to see it unfold. I appreciate your desire to have everything explained up front, but frankly, when you are replacing 70 plus feet of pipe underground you can occasionally have unforeseen things come up. Plumbers can do a lot of things, but they dont have x-ray vision. I took the hit on this job (and it was a big hit) for the sake of integrity, but would have appreciated knowing you wouldn't be there when the job was done."

I paid an extra $125. Two of my faucets are still leaking and it's no big deal I just think they need to be replaced, but he fixed my toilet.
