Technician Chris Blanton charged me $435 for replacing a drain line which he didnt do nor did i need! I do not recommened him or One Hour for any services! Manager Travis wouldn't refund the entire amount after he said he would. Technician didn't do anything in his 10 minute visit except create a bill for a bogus charge! I've been a customer for many years however i will look elsewhere for service with integrity! Be Aware! I'm very disappointed that they are hiring employees to take advantage of customers!

Terrible! Asked for a routine maintenance on my heating and A/C unit and was talked into signing up for Comfort Club maintenance service agreement. Even though it was running fine at the time, the technicians took one look at my unit and said it was badly in need of replacing and decided to not do any maintenance on it. One technician was outside and attempted to wash the outside unit, when it blew the circuit breaker and stopped working. The lead technician said he could fix it for approx. $450. My husband said no thanks, and went to Lowe's and replaced the circuit breaker for $40. We got several quotes for a new system and decided to go with a different company. When I tried to get a refund on the service agreement, they refused and said that the service they initially provided was $97 and the cancellation on the agreement has a early termination fee of $97. Because they did nothing for us except maybe cause the circuit breaker to fail, I don't believe we owe them anything, but I'm willing to let them keep the $97 for showing up, but want a refund of $103 for the service agreement.

We just spent $18,000 (you read that right) with them on a high-end HE furnace and HVAC unit and other efficiency-related services 90 DAYS ago. The HVAC unit already broke on Sunday and we have been without AC in 90+ degree Charlotte heat ever since, and nobody will call us back. We also purchased the 5 year labor and 10 year parts warranty. After 2 tech visits on Monday (the second was extremely rude to us) all we’ve been told is a part is on order to fix it, but “we have no idea when it will arrive”. After 2 additional calls to customer service today (Tuesday) we still have no update, even though we were promised a call back from customer service or a manager today. This is the worst experience we’ve ever had with a company, especially after spending that much money with them. We’re ready to pursue all avenues necessary to get our AC fixed by them timely and/or our warranty money back, so we can use another company for servicing. Please be forewarned that this is their service after sale.

I am glad to read the positive reviews about some of your technicians. Unfortunately, Dan Macri turned out to be dishonest. He charged me $186.00 for a 120 V power switch that retails for between $5.00 - $10.00 at Lowes. He was also very curt over the phone and in person. He refused to justify the high price of this plastic power switch and curlty said, "That's what we charge!" Altogether, a very unpleasant experience. I called One Hour management to discuss the issue two days ago and left a message with the cusstomer service person, but no one ever called me back!

This company quoted me a price that was 300% higher than market rates to fix. One Hour Heating and Air came to my home to diagnose my AC unit that was not running. Fan motor was dead and needed to be replaced. Quote for replacement of the fan motor was $894, plus $239 to join the 'Comfort Club' which would include cleaning of the unit, and an additional service in the Fall/Winter, for a total of $1133. I have ordered an OEM part from the AC manufacturer that is being sent via overnight delivery for $225, including the shipping charge. A different provider will replace for labor of $150, for a total of $475 compared to One Hour's charge of $1133. One Hour Heating & Air is trying to take advantage of customers who are in need of quick fixes. Beware of this company. I paid the $87.00 service call fee to get them to leave so I could work with an honest provider.

One Hour Heating and Air was great to work with. From the initial contact to the onsite inspection, we had a great experience. Our service technician, Rob, was fantastic to work with. He was very professional and we felt very reassured after his services. We will definitely use again!

The appointment went well and the problem was fixed quickly and efficiently; however, due to our desperate circumstance we were at their mercy regarding how much they charged us. They charged us over $300 per replaced part, when said parts retail for $80. This was not even the labor or service charge, which they also tacked on. The service would have cost us a fraction of the cost had we gone with another company. I'm 7 months pregnant and I was not in a position to wait days for a response from another company, which left my family vulnerable for manipulation and abuse of power, which is exactly how this company operates. They have great responsiveness and the man power to show up in emergency situations, but it comes at a high cost. If you need the job done and you need it completed quickly this is the company to go with so long as you have the funds to pay the extreme fees they charge for such expedient service.

They finally fixed the problem. They are always good at showing up on time and taking care of us. This one particular problem we had took them three tries before they fixed it. It kept leaking Freon. They kept telling us it was fixed and turned out it wasn't. I don't know what they did, but it cost enough to get fixed.

Most of the time, they are an "A" company. They are a little pricey.

With them, it is very dependent upon who comes, the first guy that came out to my house did a horrible job and I had to call and complain about him. He actually misdiagnosed the problem, he didn't know how to read the codes on my furnace and he was trying to sell me stuff I didn't need. So I told him goodbye, I allowed him to leave my home unharmed, I'm just kidding about that part.

So I allowed him to leave unharmed and I called and said don't send anyone else out here unless they are an expert, your very best. So they sent out a new person and he was actually excellent. He was pretty good.

The lights on your furnace are different colors and they flash x number of times to indicate what the problem might be. He mistook an amber flashing light as a red flashing light, and the amber flashing light actually indicates that everything is working properly and so he was trying to sell me all this stuff I didn't need. So then I asked him to leave. The next guy that came out, he actually knew more of what was going on.

I think sometimes these guys, when they come to your house, they are there to sell you services. So I just feel like when they come to your house, all their doing is looking for or creating problems so they can sell you parts and services. However, I am not exactly an idiot, and I stand there and I watch everything they do. I never let them out of my sight.  He tried to say something was wrong with one of my other furnaces, the first guy did, and when I asked him to show me what he was talking about, he couldn't reproduce the condition he claimed I had with it.

So I think One Hour Heating and Air have some people that are not very good, and probably should not be doing this kind of work. Maybe they should be collecting shopping carts in a parking lot or something, but they should not be working on anyone's furnace, because they are going to charge them a lot of money.

I have a service plan, so I pay monthly, and this was supposed to be the free checkup inspection that they do, so that's why they were coming out. So I didn't pay anything but I've been paying on this monthly plan every month for the last couple of years.

I think because of the first guy, he really dragged down their score, if the other guy had come out first, it would have been an A.

I called to follow up and asked someone to call me and no one ever called me. They never followed up with my complaint or talk to me or anything. I documented everything in email and told them exactly what happened and nobody even picked up the phone to call me after knowing that I had such a bad service experience.

One Hour is a misnomer because they don't come in 1 hour. I would use them again with the caveat that they would have to send someone who is highly experienced in doing this work because this guy wasted a lot of my time that morning.

The install went well, and although the brand (Amana) they use is lower quality than some competitors, it came with a warranty that gave me extra piece of mind, and was a monthly payment I was more comfortable with. The installer had me fill out the rebate forms for Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas that amounted to about $425, and said they'd take care of submitting them on my behalf. Fast forward several months, the rebates never came in the mail, so I followed up with the utilities to check the status. They never received the rebates, so I followed back up with One Hour to let them know. One Hour acknowledged failing to submit them, and said they'd get it taken care of. Fast forward several more months... I check with the utilities and again they have no record of a rebate submission. They also inform me that even if it was submitted now, it would be denied, since they must be submitted within 90 days of the install. I point this out to One Hour because I am still out $425, and they continually ignore my emails and don't call back. As a last resort, I went through the BBB and filed a complaint, and One Hour pulled the same stunt with the BBB mediator, closing my case based on One Hour's generic response that they've submitted the rebate for me. No tracking numbers provided, no contact made with me, and the utility said it would have shown in their system immediately and given them a tracking number if they'd actually submitted it. It was an empty gesture anyway since it just passes the buck to the rebate company who will deny it per the rebate terms. When I called to cancel my maintenance with them (as I want nothing to do with this company anymore), no one calls back or acknowledges my issue. So I'm writing this review to let folks know that it's not worth saving a few bucks upfront to deal with a company that has no regard for customer service or satisfaction after the sale is completed. It was an $8,300 system, and I was willing to accept a service credit equal to the rebate (instead of cash), despite their repeated negligence. Their insistence on perpetuating lies and ignoring me is inexcusable, and I would steer any potential buyers away. Saving a few bucks upfront isn't worth such a poor post-installation experience, much less supporting a company with this level of disregard for its customers. I'll be returning to Morris Jenkins for all future work.

Dan King's are terrific. We joined their annual club when we bought our A/C from them about 7 years ago. And I don't even have a problem with the settings on the temperature in my house. They keep my system perfect for both heating and cooling. They are unbelievable.

They call to make an appointment, show up when they say they will, and are extremely professional. To get to our space where they have to work, they have to go thru a closet thru an overhead moving thing, fit thru this little hole and get back into this area where the thing really is. Only a small wiry guy can get in there, but they were able to get in there with whoever came.

Outstanding. If you ever need anybody, call them. If we ever have to buy a new system, we will go thru them.

They have done a very good job. We have a maintenance agreement with them. They have provided services for the past few years and they've done quite well.

The only criticism I have of them and this is a very minor one. They do not know how to work with talking thermostats. They're not good at it so I have to go back in and fix it. They initially put it in which was great, but they simply don't know how to program it if it gives you messages you don't want.. The last time they were here, they got it so that when you move the little levers up and down it was supposed to tell you the temperature. They did something to it so it was just silent. So I had to go back in and hold the button down for 10 seconds to turn the audio back on.

Otherwise, they do a very good job. They did find it and install it but they just don't know how to work on it. The maintenance for the A/C and heating, they've done a very good job. We've been very happy with them. They call us twice a year, and let us know it is time to get your unit looked at for summer or winter. It's a good maintenance check.

They give you a time window instead of a specific time to be here and then they call you like 30 minutes before they get here.
