OGLUKIAN ORIENTAL RUGS

I've used the services of Oglukian Rugs twice for my handmade Oriental rugs and also took in a rug for cleaning and repair. The owner did a great job hand cleaning my rugs and they came back looking great. When I consulted for a repair and quote, he advised that the cost of repair was more than the value of the rug and sent it back home with me. I was so appreciative he was fair and honest didn't make the expensive repair and charge me an arm and a leg. I'd definitely use their services again.

Left rug for general cleaning. When returned, the rug was significantly duller, yellower and lifeless looking. The detail of the design had diminished and the colors were very muted. Owner offered to re-clean, which returned some of the color, but rug still was dull and lifeless. Owner refunded the cost of cleaning, and was unsure of the reason for the changes. I was told that something might have been spilled on the rug that caused the color change (there was not). If you use this vendor, be certain to do a preliminary inspection and fully understand the risks in using their cleaning method.

They have been in business for many years.  They have cleaned and repaird many of my persian rugs as well as giving me apprasials for them.  They are prompt and do good work.

They did a great job.  My only gripe was that communication was slow.  I waited and waited to have them return a call about delivery of my rug.  To be fair, I had told them that there was no rush because we were getting ready to move and it was just as easy to not have the rug back in the house, but I would have appreciated a quicker response to my e-mail about delivery.  Otherwise, they did a great job.  Our dog decided he wasn't getting enough fiber in his diet and chewed off part of the fringe.  They repaired it beautifully.  It wasn't cheap, but I know it was a long and careful job and they did great work.

I called and set up a date for a representative to come to my house to pick up the rug for cleaning. He arrived exactly as promised and gave me a price for cleaning, pick up and delivery which I accepted. When folding the rug he pointed out to me some damage to the underside of the rug along one edge and offered to repair it and gave me a quote. Since this is a fairly good rug and otherwise in good condition, I accepted the offer. I also asked him to provide a new pad when the rug was returned to me.
Everything turned out exactly as promised. This ten year old rug which had never been cleaned before was returned to me in like new condition. I am very satisfied with the transaction.
Clearly the Oglukian company does very high quality work and charges for it. I could probably have had the work done for less but not done as well by another company.

The rugs had a really bad urine smell but they cleaned both and removed the smell from both without damaging the rugs.

Excellent.

Our 6 year old carpets were more than due for their first cleaning. I was a little nervous about surrendering them, but years with our 16 year old cat had taken its toll. I was able to transport them myself so I saved the pick-up and delivery charge. I also got to see Chris's operation and learn a bit more about oriental carpets. If and when they get soiled again I won't hesitate to bring them back to Chris.

Great experience. I had used Oglukian rug cleaning in the past. I took my rugs over and was called within two weeks and told they were ready!

They do excellent work. It cost me a few hundred dollars for a very large oriental carpet. My overall experience with them was excellent.

I have used them only twice in the last thirty years. They were excellent and their prices were reasonable.

They are a little expensive. However, they do a great job and are good with older rugs.

The quality of the work was good and the pricing was fair, although they failed to remove a stain on one Oriental that we thought would be easy to get out. The rug to be refringed had to be sent out, and they failed to get it on the once-a-month truck as promised, so we were delayed a month. Then, we had to call them to see if the rug had come back, and yes, it was there. However, they didn't call us - we had to call them. In any event, I guess it was worth the wait as the refringing work was very well done. In summary, Oglukian does a good job, but they seem to be a bit disorganized. The owner mentioned that they had moved locations, so maybe that was the cause. I would use them again, but would want to require better control and follow-up on their part.

It went very well. He picked them up when he said he would, delivered them on time, and with the help of his wonderful co-worker laid the rugs in each room!

They are wonderful, fabulous and it was just a pleasant transaction. They came out and picked them up! They are honest as well. The rug that they had to bind had had to be binded by hand. Their workmanship is outstanding!

They picked the rugs up when they said they would. They did a very good job. The rugs look brand new. They do tend to take a little while but that was ok with me. They fixed a little bit of backing that was falling off my rug as well, which was not part of the job, I really appreciated that.

Pick up and delivery is great. Took about 2-3 weeks.

Despite this being their busy season, they held our rugs for a couple of extra days while we waited for our refinished hardwood floor to "cure." They could not have done it under their normal heavy workload. This was most helpful to us and most appreciated.

RUGS WERE CLEANED ON THE PREMISES AND I WAS CALLED FOR PICKUP WITHIN A 2 WEEK TIME FRAME. CLIENTS SHOULD ALLOW FOR HOLIDAY AND OTHER BUSY TIMES OF YEAR AND MAY WAIT ONE WEEK LONGER FOR PICKUP. THE FRINGE THAT WAS SEWN ON WAS NICELY DONE. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS BUSINESS OPERATORS. A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I FOUND THE PRICE VERY REASONABLE BUT AM NOT ABLE TO RECALL THE EXACT AMOUNT, THEREFORE I LEFT THE BOX AT $0.00. SORRY.

TOOK A MONTH, BUT I DIDN'T NEED RUGS RIGHT AWAY. CLEANED ACCIDENT FROM DOG. PICK UP/DELIVERY A PLUS.
