When they started they told me it would be 12 weeks for my windows to get in and it was 18 weeks. I was not happy about that at all. I had to keep calling, and calling, and calling just to get them to reply. Then the work that they did on the sliding glass door, the lock never worked. I've called them four times to come out and repair it. I can't get anybody on the phone or anybody to do anything. Finally, I just paid someone else to go fix it. I did not have a very good impression of them and I will not be using them again in the future.
I wish I would have gotten more estimates before I went with them.

Windows were ordered in 2014....installation took several months to complete with several items having to be reordered due to incorrect measurements.  Installers were great and not to blame...fault lied with those who came out to measure. My sales rep, Mr. Greg Schultzman, has not responded to any of my ongoing correspondence since 5/5/2015 (problem began 3/19/2015) to repair a cracked door frame that occurred during installation in March. Phones are answered by machines that screen calls not allowing you to speak with anyone, and company does not return messages.  FINALLY discovered today from Marvin's corporate service rep that NEW SOUTH REMODELERS IS OUT OF BUSINESS AS A MARVIN RETAILER AS OF MAY, 2015.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.  Mr. Schultzman has refused to communicate with me to resolve my issues.  Very shady way to do business.

I wanted to insulate my house in order to improve the looks of the house and to better insulate it. New South Remodelers and the crew from Carolina Vinyl Windows were excellent to work with, had an excellent work ethic, and took pride in their work. We are very happy with the new look of the house and the improved comfort of having a steady temperature without the constant on and off of the heat pump.

Project started in August 2013 to have 22 marvin infinity replacement windows installed but we are still waiting to have the job finished because of installation /finishing issues. We have met (in October 2014) to work out a solution only to still have no one come out, emailed, called ( never able to speak with anyone. Always a voicemail ) and still can not get anyone to come out and complete the job. Pictures and details available .

Contract written in May 2014. Services performed in December 2014 - January 2015. Yes it took eight months to have this work performed. I will not will go into a lot of detail here. I will just say serivce and communications with this company was pretty bad. The end product was acceptable but nothing another contractor couldn't do, in much less than 8 months. If you proceed with a contract with this company insist on a time limit and write in an escape clause. Good luck with your project.

Edit: As of February 2015 we are having issues with the work performed by this company. They installed viny "flashing" around several of our windows that protrudes about an inch. It looks horrible, especially ooncsidering we have a 1940's era house that has wood windows. We are trying to find a contractor that can correct this but it is proving a problem since we cannot remove the flashing. Also, many of the siding cuts were crooked and require heavy caulking to fix. Very disappointed.

First, we were not happy that we were told a couple of months for delivery of our windows, and it took closer to 5 months.  The job was done well and professionally, with one exception - most windows were a little sticky and not so easy to open.  Possibly because we had a custom interior paint job on the windows done, so they would better match our interior.  The tech gave us some advice on how to help that.
Second was our new front door.  This also took longer to get in than expected, but after the door was installed, we noticed not only was there some light shining through towards the bottom of the door & it was already squeaking when you opened and closed it - but the doorknob itself was much lower than the other doorknobs. Door manufacturer insisted the doorknob height was the industry standard, but after checking several different brands, dealers and internet sites, it became obvious that it wasn't.
We went back and forth with our sales rep and technical rep, until we finally got them to come out and replace the door.   Why didn't they know that the doorknob on the door they sell and install is over two inches lower than industry standard? Our salesman wasn't willing to work with us like the technical guy was.  Besides these few mentioned above issues, overall experience was good and company provided us with quality workmanship.

On March 13th, 2014 a Consultant, Pete Fellos, came to our home to advise of their window selections and show us the windows and how the windows operate. Mr. Fellos was very thorough and we were comfortable with all the information he provided us. We made a decision on the Essential by Sunrise Window. On March 25th, 2014 an installer came to take complete measurements for the new windows. He advised it would take several months for the windows to be built and delivered to hour home.
On May 5th, 2014, the crew came to install our windows. They arrived around 9 am and completed around 7 pm. They removed the old windows, cleaned up all debris inside and outside, then installed the new windows. The installers were very efficient and wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied before they left for the day. They did excellent work and we are very pleased with our new windows. Plus, we have experienced a lower electric bill! That is great!

We placed the order on Sept 16.  After not hearing from anyone for approximately a month, I called the office and after 2 tries, someone called me back to tell me the doors/windows would take 8 to 10 weeks to get here.  They finally arrived in February--nearly 5 months after we ordered them.
I had asked to have 2 additional windows installed.  They charged us 40% above the original price for the additional windows.
Response from New South Remodelers
"I am sorry to hear the customer service and communication was not better. We pride ourselves on great customer service. We show the pricing of the additional two windows was priced at exactly the same price as the rest of your order."

they did a very good job and was very efficient. they even advised me that some of the work i was thinking of getting wasn't necessary for the deck's structural integrity but only aesthetic work and could be a waste of money.

We had an initial crew come out and remove the old windows and install the new ones. During this process, the crew realized that one of the windows came in the wrong size and a kit to finish the installation of the kitchen window was not included. The crew continued installing the rest of the windows. At a later time we discovered that one of the windows was not installed properly. We followed up with NSR about this issue as well as the status of the window that had to be reordered. A second crew came out to fix the window that was not installed properly. They also brought the window that was reordered (in the correct size) and the kit to complete the installation of the kitchen window. While it took longer than expected to have the project 100% complete, we were happy with the second crew that came to finish the project and inspected all the windows that were installed.

I had New South replace fascia and freeze board on my home.  They came out and gave a detailed estimate, came back to check the measurements and came back a third time with the crew leader to meet me and go over the job before they started the next Monday.  The crew was very friendly and courteous and was very careful of our property.  They finished on time and left a very clean job site.  I will use this company again.

The guys were all easy to get along with, very friendly and helpful with our questions Telling us how to take care of after
the windows and doors were installed. They cleaned up after themselves and were very quiet. With the weather being
so cold and windy they remembered to close the doors and when they put the new doors in they made sure we were
where we could stay warm. Not many would even think of this. They are a really good crew to have do work for you. We
were very pleased with them and their products. The house is quieter and warmer now. I am so glad we went with this company
and I would recommend them to anyone. Very pleased!

Working with Greg, Anthony, and the many other professionals at New South Remodelers was a pleasurable experience from start to finish.  The team was extremely dedicated to ensuring that our experience was positive and our desired outcome accomplished.  Consulting and managing the varying aspects of a bathroom renovation are obvious strengths of this company; they were careful in their planning, highly communicative throughout the process, and made every effort to minimize stress.

We began with the vision of our bathroom and worked together to come up with a design that met our expectations and budget.  I appreciated how diligent they were in keeping us in our budget, rather than trying to upsell us. They were honest and helped to find solutions when we needed them.  Great care was taken with the planning, ordering of supplies and materials, and coordinating/organizing the electrician, plumber, and inspectors.

The tear down and removal of materials went swiftly.  The two gentleman were very careful in my home, and ensured proper clean up daily.  Because of their commitment and honesty, we felt we could be honest with them when we hit a few roadblocks.  Fortunately, Greg and Anthony listened to us and made every effort to resolve the obstacles in a timely manner.  This alone solidified and validated our decision to go with this company.

The crew was small (usually only one or two people in our home), which I liked.  It was a more personal experience.  They were extremely polite, hard working, punctual, and careful.  Some of the best I've ever seen!

Anthony managed the project from start to finish, and as indicated earlier, communicated with us daily on next steps, what to expect, etc.

It was a true partnership- we never felt like 'another job.'

The bathroom turned out even better than we could have imagined and we continue to stand in awe of it nearly four months later!

The process was very easy. I decided on New South Remodelers and ordered my new windows in October. They told me it would take around 6 weeks before they installed. They communicated with me with emails and phone calls to let me know when the windows were shipping and when they arrived. The crew scheduled a date to install and they showed up on time and completed my project in one day. My daughters room used to be the coldest room in the house and we had to leave her door open to keep it heated. Now there are no issues and her room is very comfortable. We also live on a busy street and noise was always an issue. Not anymore!

My wife and I had new windows quoted and installed this past year.  The
product that we liked best was Marvin's Infinity replacement window.
Greg Schutzman with New South did an excellent job in presenting the
Marvin product and offered references of clients that had New South work
performed.  Once we decided on the Marvin product and New South, Jason
Pofford came back out to measure all windows for the order.  Once the
windows came in, Jason completed the install and did an excellent job!
He kept me informed throughout the installation of issues encountered
with the old windows, repaired damage from the old windows, and
installed the new windows so that the problems would not occur again.
We felt very comfortable having Jason and his crew in and around our
home.  While going through the window process, we decided to have new
exterior doors as well.  Again, Greg did a great job of showing us what
they had available.  The doors have taken longer to come in than
anticipated but this is due to the manufacturer and not New South.  We
are still waiting on one door to come in but the installation of the
others by Jason and his crew have been excellent.  New South is a great
company to work with and I will do business with them again

We had NSR come out to quote us for replacement windows and an entry door. We've had several other contractors out and did not care for most of their offerings in replacement windows, the ones we did like were extortionately expensive. New South was able to get us a top grade window (Marvin Infinity) for the price a lot of the previous contractors quoted for a low to mid grade window that still didn't look nearly as good aesthetically as these do. They were also able to break the project into stages while allowing us to lock in pricing based on the total package.
The only issue we had was the windows coming in in the wrong color and it not being discovered till the morning of scheduled installation and we had to reschedule. After talking with NSR it was explained that they don't like to open the windows until the morning of install to prevent potentially being damaged while being stored. I suggested they could at least be checked the night before to avoid an issue like this. They did make it right by installing on a saturday to prevent me having to take another vacation day which was an acceptable resolution.
The installers did an excellent job. Once the old windows were removed it was discovered we had a bit more rot than anticipated. They removed the damaged material until they found good wood and did a great job with the installing the new ones. After having the front of the house done I've come to the conclusion I've never lived anywhere with good windows before in my life. The difference is night and day, they open with one finger, the sound dampening is remarkably improved along with virtually no heat transfer. It is an extremely odd feeling to stand in the sun and not fell any real heat transfer from it.
Overall we are very happy and will complete the projects as originally quoted.
