Ghosted by Drew-Hornet HVAC. Drew from Hornet HVA in Concord, NC came to install a new Hvac system in our home in April of this year. When he left he told us, and we thought we had a good unit we could depend on. Three days after he installed the unit, it wasn't cooling properly. He said his guys didn't fill the unit with coolant when it was installed and he topped it off. We only used the ac sporadically until the week of June 12th. Four days after we started using the unit daily, a water leak developed that damaged the sheetrock and the floor below. Thank God it was only a storage closet. I called Drew and asked him to come out and check it. He said he would be out that afternoon. After waiting til 8 pm, I called back and he wouldn't answer my call. I also sent him a text with no response. We had to call a plumber and another hvac company to fix the problems. The new hvac company said it was leaking coolant and oil. He said if Drew had done the proper diagnostic upon installation, he would have found the unit was DAMAGED. It cost us another $3000 dollars to correct the problem. I didn't see the post from a year ago that had the same experience until today. After he gets your money, don't expect to hear from him again. His failure becomes your problem, not his. Please DO NOT allow Drew to do any installation work at your home. I have no idea how he can have a 4-star rating when this has happened to so many customers.
