About us
With Nana's Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, pets receive care based on their unique personalities, age and individual health needs. If your pet is taking medications or requires special care such as insulin shots or sub-cutaneous fluids, Nana's sitters and walkers are trained to handle it all. All sitters and walkers have received specialized puppy care training. Nana' Pet Sitting and Dog Walking has earned the esteemed Angie's List Super Service Award consistently since 2009. We are also highly recommended by many local vet offices. Along with medication training, all of Nana's sitters and walkers are trained and remain current in pet first aid, CPR, wellness and puppy & senior pet care training from the prestigious Pet Tech program. Pet Tech is the first international training center for pet care, pet first aid and CPR for cats and dogs. Nana is a Master Pet Tech Instructor, and has been since 2009, and provides required continuing training certification for each of our sitters and walkers. Nana's Pet Sitting and Dog Walking is appropriately licensed and is fully insured and bonded. Nana’s is an accredited business with the highest rating available by the Better Business Bureau of Charlotte and has been since 2007. Everyone, including Nana, has completed a background check. Nana’s Pet Sitting & Dog Walking has been an active member of Pet Sitters International since 2007. Nana completed the CPPS designation thru PSI, and has proudly completed the PSI accreditation requirements each year to maintain that accreditation. CPPS, Certified Professional Pet Sitter, involves extensive pet sitter training with a written test at the end. Other completed designations include the COVID 19 Certification and Disaster Planning for Professional Pet Sitters. As you can see, Nana’s Pet Sitting & Dog Walking is constantly adding educational training to our portfolio. I think you will agree, we bring a LOT to the table!

Nana's Pet Sitting is fantastic! My two cats Butch and Sunny love the sitters and are always happy and content when I return, even after being away as long as six weeks. They leave daily logs and I know that they always spend time playing and giving the kitties love - it's more than just the basics and it shows. Everything is also always very neat and tidy when I return. Nana's is great!

We have been using Nana's for many years to take care of our dogs when we are out of town. Linda and her team are fantastic! They are very attentive to the dogs, spend time playing and loving on them when they make their visits and are very good at communicating with us on a timely basis when, and if, there are problems / questions. Linda has gone so far as to take one of our dogs to the vet. In addition, Linda and her team get our mail, paper, etc. when they make their visits. There is not a better provider of pet sitting services than Nana's!

Nana's Pet Sitting is by far the best pet sitting experience we have ever had! The professionalism, the punctuality, the experience the walkers have with pets, but most of all--the LOVE all the walkers show our sweet Zoe-is unmatched anywhere. I would leave her for a whole month if necessary and feel just fine about it! The fact that all are trained in pet CPR puts icing on the cake. I would highly recommend!

Nana's people are well trained. They take excellent care of my animals. I know if an emergency should come up, Linda and her team will take care of everything. My animals love their pet sitter. Their bowls are cleaned every day. The litter box for my cats are cleaned every day. The best part is they spend time with the animals playing and making them feel loved. I never have to worry about them when I go out of town. I know they are in good hands.

Linda and her sitters do a wonderful job! We’ve been with her for several years and have always felt that our pet was safe and happy with Linda. She’s been accommodating with short notice visits and last minute changes in plans. She’s is very thorough and communicates very well. Most importantly, our dog loves her sitters and is well cared for.

Linda and her team have been caring for our beloved pets for 12 years. She is wonderful, and I feel comfortable leaving them in her care. In addition to feeding, scooping kitty litter, and cuddling, they bring in the mail and newspapers and have watered a plant or two. We had a few years when our parents who were out of state were failing. When I called Linda with a crisis on that front, she just told us to go, and she would come in to take care of the rest which she did. Once, she even drove our dog (who loved the kennel) to the vet to be boarded while we were away. Because the trip was unexpected and we got a call at 11 pm, we had no reservation with the vet. Linda called the vet in the morning and handled it all. She definitely goes above and beyond, and I feel comfortable leaving my pets and home in her care.

Nana's Pet Sitting does a super job taking care of my birds. They do the required tasks--feeding, changing water, etc.--but then they spend time talking to them and giving them some company and companionship. You can tell they really love animals! They treat them like family, so I come home to a happy house!

The care for my pets and home always goes well. I have been using Nana’s Pet Sitting for years and will not call any other pet service. In fact .. I have cancelled plans if they are not available to provide the care. I always come home to happy pets and a clean house. I also enjoy reading the notes from each visit .. very informative and at times humorous. The cost is dependent on each person’s needs .. mine are a bit more needy for had a foster puppy added to the mix this time that was receiving meds plus I have 2 dogs that must be kept separate. They did and always do a great job. If you want honesty and direct answers .. call Nana’s Pet Sitting. They are the best!!
