Bottom line is - Skybrook Golf Course is going through financial issues and is going under potential forclosure. Mattamy Homes refuses to give me back my deposit after getting cold feet. Skybrook Golf course happens to be in the neighborhood I would have lived in. I have not even signed a final contract agreement and they refuse to give me back my deposit. Instead I received a lot of reasons as to why everything is going to be fine. However they could not guarantee my home value should the golf course go into foreclosure.

I just want to say reading the other review that the hard wood floors are ridiculously soft and dents and scratch's extremely easy. They look great but I know I will have to replace them in the near future and that is not right. I also see a lot of details that the home is not build with quality with many defects in craftsmanship. 90 days to build a house is just too fast. I love my house and been here 3 months but I am starting to get very concern with what issues I'm going to have a few year down the road.

The only thing I would say is that the hardwood they put throughout the house is probably the softest hardwood I have ever had. I paid the builder extra to put this in the house but it is very vulnerable to dents and scratches. If I had known it was going to be so soft, I would have had them take carpet throughout the house and done the hardwood myself as time and money permitted. I had some big disappointments from their subcontractors, especially the furnace guy. Also, a piece of flashing was missed so there was a leak in the roof. I would probably use them again because I've seen them building good houses for 20 or 30 years in Canada. They have a good reputation and they are building houses down here like they like to build in Canada.
