Once again, Ken Larson of Lisa's Handyman Services has come to my rescue. The front porch steps on my home are very steep and proved hazardous this past winter. Ken installed porch railings along each side even topping them off with solar light caps. The even provide the much needed support for my 15 month old granddaughter as she learns to climb up and down the steps.

When I first moved into my Mint Hill home 10 years ago I begged the builder to add a laundry sink in the two car garage. Since the house was in the final stages of completion, my request was denied. Ken to the rescue!!!! He installed the much needed sink and I'm thrilled to have hot water available to wash the dog and even more thrilled to have the grandkids wash their hands before coming into the house.

If I wore them (but I don't), I would say " Hats off to Ken Larson and Lisa's Handyman Services for another two jobs well done."

Lisa's Handyman Service is the "new kid on the block" having a thriving business in Illinois but recently moved to the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
I hired Ken and his wife to sand, seal and repaint a large Creative Playthings playscape in the back yard which was accomplished in a couple of days (despite the inclement weather). Was so satisfied with the job, I asked them to remove a large window box from the windows on the front of my house. Box was removed; holes were sealed; caulking done around entire window area and then painted. Again, all work was done in a timely manner and I so pleased with the results, I recommended their services to my daughter who needed a backdoor railing installed as well as rotten wood and vinyl replaced over garage door. Once again, the jobs were performed quickly and satisfactorily even passing the HOA review (which ain't easy!).

Ken and his son Tyler were efficient and delivered quality work in my bathroom renovation. At any step of the way that a problem was encountered (such as an extra sub-floor in my bathroom that had to be ripped up, leaky shutoff valves, or a completely busted whole-house water shutoff), Ken explained what was wrong, and provided solutions that were reasonably priced - definitely no surprises other than what my house had to throw at them. The first day, Ken and Tyler removed the existing flooring and vanity, and installed cement backer board, and came back the next day once that was set to tile. Once the tile was in and grouted, they reinstalled the toilet. A day or so later, I noticed the toilet was leaking slightly at the floor - and this was after the snow storm - I shot Ken an email, and within an hour was back at my house (it's great to have a handyman live down the street from you) with a replacement wax ring, and fixed the minor leak. I guess being from Illinois, the snow wouldn't stop Ken. The Amish-made cabinets were delayed due to the trucking company and snow storm, but once installed, it was clear that they're well crafted - For the price of the RSI semi-custom vanities you can order from Home Depot or Lowes (and that have horrible reviews), Ken got me an all-wood, maple vanity set, that has a great clean modern look. Once everything was reinstalled and I started to use the sinks again, there was a slight drip leak from the drain - about 1 drip per minute. Once again, Ken came back out and fixed the issue quickly and effectively. I won't hesitate to use Ken / Lisa's Handyman Service (Lisa is Ken's wife) again, and plan to have him work on my deck once the weather warms up.
