Elaine was beyond wonderful. When I called her to set up an appointment she clearly explained what I could expect during the appointment. She described what can go wrong with an elderly grandfather clock and that she could not guarantee that she could get the clock running again without installing a new clock mechanism. Lo and behold, she worked her magic and my beloved clock is ticking and chiming again after many years of silence. She disassembled the clock and carefully cleaned and oiled it. Even cleaned the glass panels!!!! Would I hire her again??? Without a doubt!!! Great service and very professional.

Elaine was promptly on time, very professional. She took apart the mechanism of the clock and showed me anything I should look for. The clock was way overdue for a tune up. Elaine cleaned and oiled the mechanism and put it back together. Took about two hours. She told me what to look for and listen for. The clock is so much quieter and works great. We plan on moving in a year, I will have her back to get the clock ready for moving. Highly recommend Elaine.

Elaine did an excellent job with all three of my timepieces and I am just thrilled with her workmanship. She was very helpful and patient and took the time to explain the issues concerning each clock and what was involved in the repairs. Elaine arrived at our apartment exactly when she promised us she would, and proceeded to work on the railroad clock first. She totally removed the works from the case so that she could get to all of the points that needed cleaning and oiling, and then reassembled it. It has been running perfectly ever since. She then removed the works of the grandfather clock and cleaned and oiled them and did the same for the mantle clock, and they too have been running perfectly ever since.. None of the previous clock repair people that we have used EVER took the works out of the cases so that they could clean and oil all of the necessary places, yet they charged us much more than Elaine did. Elaine is very pleasant to do business with, and is extremely knowledgeable about clocks. She has been studying them since she was in grade school. Her prices are very reasonable, and she makes house calls to work on clocks that cannot conveniently be taken to her shop. She recommended that our clocks be cleaned and oiled again in about three years, and we will most definitely call her back out to do it. She provides outstanding service!

Fantastic experiance. Both clocks required a fair amount of work to get them back in operation. We called one 'Clock Repair' serviceman in Waxhaw. He just made things worse. So next we took a try with Elaine of Lentz Clock Repair. Not only did she immediately know what to do... she did it. It did require her to take the main mechanisms back to her shop. After two or so weeks, she called, delivered the repaired mechanisms, reinstalled them and both clocks have been working 'like new'! Elaine is the real deal!

Elaine Lentz is a very professional young lady who really knows her trade. Amazingly enough, she keeps a supply of salvaged original parts and was able to completely overhaul both of our clocks. Both are now working great probably just as they did in the 1800's when they were made. To hear them ticking and chiming is like having a constant connection to family. Several years ago, Elaine was able to get a clock that has been in the family for many years and desperately in need of repair working again. In May of this year, I brought it to her for cleaning & oiling. Its back home and working very well. She is a very knowledgeable & professional person.

I took it to Elaine and she did an absolutely beautiful job not only making it run again but for cleaning it up and it is just beautiful! She explained how it worked and what I need to do to keep it working. I could not be happier! I had no idea what to expect but I'm beyond thrilled. Thank you Elaine for being so great!

Ms Lentz was very professional and knowledgeable. She told me what was wrong with my clock, gave me an estimate of how much the repair would cost and when she would be able to return the clock. While she was working on the clock, she kept me updated on changes to what she had to repair and any additional cost. Ms Lentz did an excellent job and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is in need for older clock repair.
