Several times I have seen the advertisements on television. The advertisements state to put information in and banks would compete for your loan. They stated the offers would come through email. I tried this and thought the offers would come through email. I immediately started getting phone calls from everywhere trying to get my business. I have asked them to quit calling and to please send by email. They will not stop calling and they are calling through all hours of the day even after 9:00 pm. I feel that I was given false information and that the company is not what it seems. I would not recommend them to others. I tried to call their customer service and work with them the person was inappropriate and ended up hanging up on me. I also feel this is deceptive on their part and not what I asked for.

From the start they were pushy like a used car salesman. They called everyday regardless of my request not to be called for 2 weeks. They couldn't match any other rates I was being quoted. In the end I went with another mortgage company who called me back within 2 weeks when they could offer the rate I was looking for exactly as we discussed - no pressure, no surprises.

Initially, I had the pleasure of working with Jenny Kim, Assistant to Mark Hoagland, a senior loan officer. As I approached closing the deal, Hoagland stepped in. He tried to beat an offer I had, actually making me an offer without a good faith estimate, just ''his word.'' His competitor, Madison First Nat'l (Bob Glazewski 888-516-4666), put forth a good faith estimate and beat LendingTree by $694. But because of the trust established with Ms Kim, I decided on LendingTree. As soon as I told Mr. Hoagland my decision his offer came off the table. But he didn't tell me right away. He tried to distract me, made small talk (''oh you have a Ph.D.!'' ''taxes sure are high in IL.''). What he was doing was obvious. He was obsequious, opportunistic and so poorly skilled interpersonally that he couldn't even remember my name. He badmouthed his competitor, even calling them pretending to be a borrower just to find fault with their offer. See Tree, run for the hills! See Hoagland, get RAID!
