KUHLKIN BUILDERS INC

Filed to complete project, we experienced many delays, Builder would not provide a detailed schedule, quality of pork performed by subs was horrible, subs were not well breifed on work details to be done, Kuhlkin rarely showed up on the project, except to collect payments.  We had 6 water leaks from plumbing that was installed, damage to hardwood floors, water intrusion around and under doors,  Work was always behind schedule.  He failed to order long lead time items until too late, like hardware, fixtures, appliances.  Worked promised was not performed, there were always excuses, and delays, except of course when he wanted payment.    we finally fired him, and one day later found out that he had not paid subcontractors with the funds we were paying Kuhlkin with.  Subs showed up at our house requesting payment!  Subs had not been paid for 4-6 months, although we were current with Kuhlkin and had paid him for all work performed by Subs.  Subs had not been paid for other projects Kuhlkin was working on either.  We have liens on our home now for work and supplies we paid Kuhlkin for.  Kuhlkin never returned calls, emails, messages.  We tried to serve him legal notice at his business address, but this is a UPS store! 
We have since heard or spoken with several other home owners who had very similar experiences with Kuhlkin Builders in the lake wylie area.
