Kevin came to give me an estimate. I interviewed two other contractors and chose Kevin because he appeared to be the more analytical of the group and I wanted someone who had skill but also was a problem solver.

Work began on time. Work ended months after it should have. Contract said work should be complete in 120 days. Ended up more around 300 days. Kevin would check in but there were two guys doing most of the work. I have an older home and I think the guys left to do the work were in over their head. Older homes have quirks that require someone with more experience to tackle. Parts of the job were redone several times - sometimes at my expense, sometimes at Kevin's.

Towards the end of the project I felt the team was getting more sloppy and careless. The bathrooms are nice but I still have a couple of issues that I will probably call in someone else to resolve.

Kevin is very nice to work with, he's honest and fair. I think project management could have been better and would have kept the project better on track.

Kevin is great to work with. I have an older home that has posed some challenges along the way but Kevin always comes up with several options on how to move forward. The work is quality, his team is friendly and knowledgeable.

From the initial walkthrough to the end of the project, Kevin made himself available for any questions and to provide advice. Basically, I like their breakdown of price. They are there at the time they told me they're going to be there, very clean, friendly staff and efficient, and everything was just very good. I had no problems or whatsoever. The price was very in-line with what I had them done so it was a great price. I got to choose between regular lumber or marine plywood and I was given a definition of what they both were and how they're going to do it in my home, so that actually helped me made my decision. They're right on time and they're very professional.

I am a do-it-your-self homeowner, and KBS is the perfect solution for my remodeling needs.
I initially consulted KBS to replace a ceramic tile shower that I had ripped out and started remodeling, but didn't have the skills to complete. Kevin, the owner, came over and gave me what I considered to be a very fair price complete with some do it yourself type tasks that I could complete on my own to keep costs in line.
He then prevented me from making some poor design choices by suggesting combinations of ceramic tile he had used on prior jobs The result was truly outstanding, and we are thoroughly enjoying our new custom shower.

We were having the floors replaced in the home at the time. In addition to 2000 sq. ft. of carpet that was being replaced by another vendor, I had some ceramic tile and linoleum that needed replacing. Kevin again gave me some do it yourself tasks to keep costs in line (rip up the old tile yourself and I'll knock off $700). He then helped me locate and acquire a competitively priced solid oak flooring and installed it in less than 5 days with beautiful results.
I intend to use KBS him to sort out the plumbing in my in-ground pool some time in June - so far I haven't found anything in the residential construction line that this company can't do.
If you're looking for an honest general contractor that does quality work for a fair price, look no further.

Overall I was very pleased with all the work. Having your home in total disaray is very frustrating, Kevin Simpson (owner) worked hard to reassure me that once we got through the demolition part it would all come together quickly and it did. KBS continued to keep everyone (including me) on track. All the work is fantastic and I am so happy I made the decission to makeover my home. Most of all I am happy I had a General Contractor that knew what he was doing and I knew I could trust him. KBS Construction Specialists are reliable, easy to work with and very resonably priced. I had gotten a qoute from another contractor that was over $10,000 more than what KBS did the work for.

KBS stands behind all their work and I am confident that anyone that works with Kevin Simpson will be pleased not only with the work he does but with his ability to be creative and think on his feet.
