The price was about 30% higher than what was originally estimated over the phone, but we accepted that the price could vary with the frame style that was chosen. The delivery time was estimated to be two weeks.
After three weeks with no communication, we called to get a status, and were told that the mirror was available. Delivery was scheduled for the following week.
The installation crew arrived in a timely manner and did an excellent job of removing the old mirror which had been glued to the wall. Although we had expected some wall damage in the removal process, the crew did an excellent job and no damage was incurred. They took care to protect the tub surround from damage in the removal and installation process. The new mirror was carefully placed and adjusted to the homeowner's satisfaction. The only complaint with the installation was that the crew did track debris into the house and across carpeted areas. I would suggest in the future that they either remove shoes or put on shoe protectors.
When the mirror was delivered, the frame was not the white color that was specified when it was ordered. After calling the office, sales staff stated that the brown / tan color on the sample was the "white" color. We had been told in the shop that the sample was not the final color, and that the frame was available in white to match the existing room trim. The sales staff offered to bring the mirror back into the shop and paint it, but we did not choose that option since 1) if it needed to be painted it would be better to use the existing room trim paint color, 2) it would be very inconvenient to have to schedule a second date for installation, and 3) there were other room updates already scheduled that would have to be delayed if the mirror was not installed. After calling the office, the sales staff made a price adjustment to compensate for the repainting of the wrong color frame.
As for product quality, the corners of the frame were not mitered precisely and show gaps. I would have expected a better quality fit and finish for a mirror and frame that cost this much. The corners will have to be caulked during the repainting process to cover the gap areas.
Overall, I am disappointed that a very expensive custom mirror still needs additional work and expense to be made right. The installation crew did a great job (except for the dirty shoes). The sales staff needs to be more knowledgeable of product offerings, and / or do a better job of communication. I would not recommend this provider for custom mirror work.
When the initial estimate was done, they also mentioned that they did shower enclosures. I did get them to do an estimate for our upstairs shower. I was impressed by the changes they suggested in the design of the enclosure. This remains an option. I am still waiting for an e-mail of the design specifications on the shower enclosure.

They quoted a price. The company came to house and measured the table .
I needed to followup and call a few weeks later for status of work.
They confirmed the date the glass would be ready and the glass was delivered.
t would recommend the company to others.
I returned the scratched item to the store -- they said they would have another one made. Same issues. I had to call them to find out the status -- then, I learned that the glass cutter was having surgery -- when he returned to work the following Monday, they would call me to let me know when the order would be ready.
With no call from Karsey, I went to their store yesterday to get the status on the glass. They found that the glass had been cut but had not yet been beveled. They didn't know when it would be finished. At that time, I requested a full refund -- for both pieces of glass. They provided the credit and told us it would take 3 to 5 business days for the credit to appear on our account -- "that was out of their control -- that was due to the bank".
Obviously, EVERYTHING at Karsey Glass, Inc. (South Boulevard in Charlotte, NC) is out of their control.
NEVER again, will I go there. Could you imagine dealing with that if you were waiting on them to finish your shower enclosure?
"Unfortunately, our cutter has recently learned that he has lung cancer. This caught us by surprise and blindsided us without a back up plan. Our cutter was a very talented individual. We are in the process of looking for another glass cutter and hope to have that positioned filled by the end of the week. Sometimes people get sick and this did catch us off guard. We realize this is a part of business and this is unacceptable, but please accept of apology."
"Wow, we apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, we saw a mistake from the hardware company whereby they didn't make the towelbar to specifications. We never see this mistake; typically it is the glass that is wrong. Also, your shower is unique with slanted glass and that presented a challenge as well. We will work to get this shower completed and you happy with the finish product. Again, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience."
"Thanks . We hope you enjoy your new mirrors."
"Thank you very much for the positive review. We really are fortunate that we have good group of employees that care."
It wasn't any fault of theirs, just that the vinyl strips that hold the window in place were difficult to remove. Ultimately, they had to break the glass. Once it was out, they put the new glass in. During the process, the window latch broke and that had to be replaced which they did. After it was installed, I noticed the widow was rubbing against the frame and making a noise so the latch had to be adjusted a few more times to get it properly fit. The second window was easy and came out quickly. In addition, their price was over $100.00 less than another big name company so it doesn't always pay to go with the big companies.
"Thank you Member for the comments. Very nice, we try."
Also, I overpaid them by accident. They quickly realized this and contacted me and sent back my check.
Very professional, trustworthy and I will use them again!
"Thanks . We apprecciate your comments."
