After having my HVAC system replaced, there was some damage to the ceiling around the hatch where the new/old systems passed through to get into the attic. The HVAC company sent out Scot Joyner to make the repairs, at their expense. He affected the ceiling drywall repairs very quickly. He re-caulked around the hatch, being careful to not make the same mistake that my home builder did, which made the drywall damage impossible to avoid. Scot took a sample of the painted ceiling to color match the paint. While he was here, I discussed hiring him to do some repairs in the corner of two walls where the drywall separated. He looked at them, diagnosed the cause, and said using caulk was the only solution. Re-plastering, as had been done once before, would eventually fail again. He said he would work on that on his second trip to finish up my ceiling. He showed up on time. He finished the ceiling repair, including repainting. It looks like new. He worked on my two wall corners, including repainting. When I got out my checkbook to pay him, he said "no charge". He said he likes to throw in small extras for customer satisfaction. I was shocked, in a good way.
