Jim explained what he would do, he and his crew came out quickly, efficiently performed the work, and left all work areas spotless. He took the time to educate me about the problems we had and how they were addressed. I've had a lot of work done on the 45 year old home I am remodeling and have accordingly dealt with numerous contractors. When it comes to great workmanship at an even better price, Jim is at the top of the list. I just hope he doesn't retire before I need him again.

The technicians were very cordial, but the work was very low quality. We had to have the cable company correct poor cable terminal installation. The wall had a cut left showing in the drywall and a wall plate overlapped the electrical wall plate. The owner tried to hold us to both a phone estimate and a time and materials cost. This contradicted the bill presented by the repairman. I was actually accused of cheating the installers. We paid exactly the quoted time and materials as was presented in the invoice. I would not advise that this firm ever be used for electrical or cable installation work.

I called Mr Rowland on a Monday and they were able to come out the very next morning at the exact time as scheduled. They were fast, efficient and cleaned up completely. Although this was a small job (appx 45 minutes), they were just as professional as if it were a big job. I would definitely use them again.

Super fast - called around 11am and they were here about an hour later. Very polite and answered questions that we had about a future job in addition to doing the outlet switch. Hooked up the dryer and moved it into place which was a bonus. I thought $150 was a little on the high side for something so simple, but I didn't call around and I didn't ask them for an estimate in advance.

I chose this company because of all the positive comments, but I was very disappointed. I understand the first trip is basically fact finding...no problem there. Jim and one employee arrived and Jim gave an estimate of cost of the materials and only quoted a labor estimate for the lamp post. He told my roommate that he charges $90 per hour per person, but that he only paid his guy $20 an hour to dig the trench for a new line, if needed. We thought that would be our charge for this portion of the work. We made an appointment for the next week to complete it. That same week, I received a message on my answering machine that his guy to dig the trench and lay the wire would be out my way that day, could he come by. Of course, I didn't get that until I got home and they had been and gone. Who knows how many people showed up and how long they worked? The day arrived for them to come in and finish the inside work (I took a day off work) and when no one showed up in the morning I called. Jim couldn't recall what they were supposed to be doing for me until I reminded him. He said he couldn't get the transformer by the numbers they wrote down, he would need to come and take it with him. Then he said he couldn't make it that day. I told him I was already taking that day off. So he agreed for his worker to come by and get the transformer, but when his employee arrived, Jim was with him. On the third trip, 3 people showed up, including Jim who really didn't do much of the work. The GFI switch that had been installed wasn't in the right place and I asked Jim if it had been moved and he said it was (it wasn't that was a 5th trip, but no charge). The charge of $1500.00 included $500 for parts and the 10% discount for being an Angie's List member. Jim told me he was being really generous and only charging me $80 per hour per person when he usually charges $120. He charged me for 14 hours of work...including his own time. Additionally, Jim had the GFI plugged into the old electrical box that was already full and now that switch keeps tripping.

Called on a Saturday because our circuit feeding the refrigerator had tripped and would not reset. Jim was on the scene in 45 minutes and repaired faulty wiring. Very professional. Cleaned up after himself. Would use him for anything in the future.

Called on New Year's Day to schedule an appointment after I figured out I was in over my head on a do-it-yourself project. Jim was polite on the phone and immediately scheduled an appointment for the next day. The electrician called about 30 minutes before arriving. The work was completed as expected and in a timely manner. I will use this company again.

Jim was prompt. The laundry closet is tight, he checked what was there already, tested it and said that what we had was exactly what we needed and he didn't need to do anything. I was shocked when he didn't charge me for his time & travel (he lives in same neighborhood). I like and recommend honest people, yes I would hire him again, they have been in business a long while and I know why.

Jim and his aide set right to work removing my ancient kitchen florescent light fixture and installed my new and improved florescent fixture...which was also a better buy! They were very efficient and pleasant, working nonstop. The aide cleaned up the debris while Jim used his own broom and swept up the floor! I was very impressed and will call on them again with more tasks around this old house. I was given a discount, which is always welcomed, but was pleased with the original fee. Thanks for the help...it will definitely come in handy many times, I'm sure.
