Representative did an admirable job of coordinating repairs and negotiating with insurance adjusters. Unfortunately, execution and expertise was severely lacking. No sooner was the roof installation completed, we began to have water intrusion at various locations and in multiple rooms, where there had never been. (4 year old house, 65 sq of GAF shingles installed in less than two days)
Multiple visits with no more than a caulking gun did little to solve the problems. Had to hire an independent inspector to review the workmanship and write a detailed report of what needed to be fixed. After months of unresponsiveness, we ended up having to hire another more qualified roofing company to make the necessary repairs. No issues since.
Lesson learned: make sure that crews are local and are not from out of state working for a local company that is writing damage estimates. Others in the neighborhood had better experiences; we just had a crew that was unfamiliar with the requirements of working with flashing on stucco, or simply chose to ignore doing things the "right way". Hard workers, but the installation was sub par.

Warning to all! Started out great, Jorge was wonderful to deal with. However as the project progressed things started getting sloppy. When I pointed out my concerns and was told it would be taken care of at the very end of the project. Toilet leaked at base 3 times! Caused damage to hardwood floor which looked great before the leak. Jorge said it would be taken care "no problem" it was never addressed. While my remolding project was going on and was going well I referred Jorge to a friend who needed windows replaced she paid him and months later still does not have her windows installed. Jorge Mira is the owner of a company called Finish Masters and does work under the Metropolitan name. Finish Masters did a great job on hardwood floors, however as projects progress work gets very sloppy! Jorge is impossible to get in touch with after projects starts. General carpenter work was very messy , we had a built in shelf that was really rough looking. Once I expressed concern about it Jorge said "no problem" and never fixed it. Bottom line is DO NOT pay for anything until you are 100% satisfied, because once you pay, he will not answer or return phone calls/ emails!

I can't say enough about Marty, the sales guy, and Metropolitan.  Marty kept us informed all the way as he worked through the logjam with State Farm - he was a real advocate for us as he understood their process and patiently dealt with several adjustors in their bureaucracy.  He was punctual with every meeting we had - I think one time he called to let me know that due to rush hour traffic he would be a little late -  imagine a contractor doing that!  The work was done well, no messes, no leaks.  An outside light was knocked loose from the wall by the workmen, but Marty made sure that it was repaired at his expense.  I would hire Marty and Metropolitan in a heart beat.

Contacted Andrew to have him look at my roof and determine if I had hail damage.  He responded immediately and provided me with his assessment.  When the insurance adjuster arrived, he also came by to go through the estimates with the adjuster.  He scheduled my roofing in a timely  manner, and his team showed up first thing on the date they indicated.  They kept everything tidy, and cleaned up after.

I've recommended Metropolitan to several friends.

We are incredibly happy with the work Metropolitan did and would use them again in a heartbeat. They did a great job listening to exactly what we wanted and the quality of their work was fantastic. The work took longer than they originally thought it would, which was a pain at the time, but worth it in the end because they took their time and paid attention to every detail to make sure they got it right.

They paid attention to details and they were here when they said they would be here although I didn't have a project with them and set my expectations right. They are prompt. They showed up when they were expected. Their pricing was competitive, but they were not the cheapest ones. They were also willing to provide detailed information on how much they were using. They were generally good.
