Stay away from this contractor. He had "fixed" my roof on 3/22/2018 and all was good until we got hit with hurricane Florence in September - the roof leaked again in the same spot. Unfortunately, I lost the receipt and forgot the name of the contractor. I started to look for someone to fix it and came across the contractor whose name looked familiar, I checked my SMS history and found that Miller Stergo is the person that worked on my roof. When I contacted him again on October 4th, he said that he cannot find my name in his history and therefore he did not believe he ever worked on my roof. Luckily by October 21st I found a receipt that he gave me back in March, so I contacted him again. Now he demanded to see a copy of it, so I sent a copy. He said he will contact me with the date when he comes. Couple days later nothing happens, so I called again and he claims that, check this out, his warranty is 6 month!!! So he agrees to come when he has time and, I quote him: "I cannot put you in front of my customers". So guess what, I am no longer a customer, I am just an out of warranty nuisance. One thing I have to agree with is that yes, I screwed up, I have missed the warranty, I should have asked for a warranty before I hired him and I should have told him to go fly a kite. Really? Six month?! So he warrantied his work for a length of a dry season and I paid $650 dollars to learn a lesson: need to be more attentive next time. I ended up hiring a real roofer who warrantied his job for 10 years! Oh yeah, another thing - Miller has offered me to pay $1600 for the whole roof inspection and fixing if necessary, I am glad to have passed on this offer. Btw, the real roofer I hired later did all that for under $700. We had several heavy and lengthy rains since then and the problem seems to be fixed.
