I needed to correct the original work order before the work began since some of the work we discussed was not on the order. That was corrected and approved with an adjusted price before the work was to begin. I did have one existing outlet added after the work began. The job was estimated to take 1 1/2 days (perhaps 2) even after 5 items were added to the first invoice. Even if it took an extra day, I was in no hurry at this point in the project since no other workers were scheduled for that week.
After the second day, there was damage to the sheetrock, a hole cut in the ceiling that was too big for one of the light fixtures that needed to be repaired and one of the new dimmers for the recessed light stopped working. I was not told by the electrician doing the work that Hilton would repair the sheetrock at their expense, perhaps because I was doing that and other work myself in the remodel. I didn't expect they would add to my work however.
After damage in 3 places (where there was previously none) as a result of installing the den fan and light switches, and my HVAC provider (who was adding a makeup air vent for the new kitchen exhaust fan) telling me I had a light fixture sparking in the attic, I began counting up the items the electrician did not complete, were broken or faulty, or where other damage was caused like the sheetrock. It seemed like I was getting behind and not ahead in my remodel. After the recessed light fixture was found to spark in the attic, I was concerned with the overall safety of the work.
I called the owner of the company and sent an email with pictures to discuss my concerns. I must say he was very responsive and came out to discuss the problems the next day. There was no disagreement on how I viewed the work and we both agreed on the work that needed to be completed and how it needed to be done. He agreed without any hesitation to adjust the bill to reflect the cost of the needed sheetrock repairs. He offered to have the work done by the person he uses to repair sheetrock damage but I insisted on doing the repairs so it would be done the way I wanted.
Two days later, he came with the electrician and fixed the faulty wiring himself and suggested additional dimmer switches on the recessed lighting at no charge given the trouble I had.
I was obviously disappointed with the work after the first two days but I was very pleased to see a business owner willing to quickly fix the problems and show a personal interest in making things right both in the work and in the final payment. I had first used Hilton Electric in 2007. With the owner onsite during that work, it was done very well. Several  electricians I called were swamped with work this past summer so perhaps the one assigned to my work got sloppy. I can't make any excuses for the electrician but I was glad I had a business owner who was so responsive and fixed the work and the price without hesitation. His integrity and character are outstanding.
Not all the work was completed but I paid a fair price for work that was done and it was done correctly in the end.

Hilton Electric was very responsive.  Both the fan and the chandelier are installed in areas with 18 ft ceilings.  They handled the installation and repair quickly and efficiently.

Called for a mystery partial outage at my home. They came out next day, researched and solved the problem. Just a couple a things....these guys doing the work don't want to communicate with the home owner. I like to see what service people are doing and ask about what went wrong since I am paying for the service, I was told, "we do this all the time...just let us do our job". No "bedside manner" at all! And then I offered to pay via credit card and they said they wanted cash or check (having just moved, have no clue where the little used checkbook was). This was my third time using them in the past 10 months. They called the office and said, "yes, we can bill you. But we are not set up to take credit cards in the field and normally they want cash or check from everyone immediately." My last time using a company that treats the homeowner with such obvious disdain and doesn't want the homeowner around while they are doing their "work".

Very professional and responsive. Provided sound advice. Willing to advise on a smaller job.

Orrin Hilton evaluated the project, and quoted a price. The electrician and helper arrived as scheduled, and completed the work quickly. We were pleased with the work. The cost was exactly as quoted to us.

I have used them to upgrade my house. I have known the owner Hilton for a number of years. He is very honest and does first class work. I don't have to worry about him doing either poor work or something that I don't need.

The crew arrived on time, were professional, told us if there were problems with installation and what our options were. They were done in a three hours. The lights are great.

From the time of my phone call to the completion of the job, maybe 4 hours elapsed. This was on a Friday, so I was very happy to get the job done so quickly. Everything went great! Mr. Hilton, the owner, met with me and discussed various ways to light the house and yard. We had just finished re-landscaping our yards and adding all the lights was the icing on the cake! What a difference the lights have made! It is wonderful to come down our street at night and see our house lit up so beautifully! And, we love sitting out back at night and looking at the beautiful trees and landscaping that is lighted. It is just gorgeous! Mr. Hilton and his crew are great to work with! Mr. Hilton even came back out a few times at night to tweak the lights.

Hilton Electric is a full-time owner run business, not a franchise. The demonstrated level of service and professionalism is totally compellling!

Orrin Hilton was extremely polite and responsive to all my calls. They were punctual and neat and did not hesitate to come back twice to make minor adjustments. I am very pleased with the finished results!

Orrin is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very easy to work with. He explained what was done incorrectly and why some items had to be rewired. He suggested lighting to accent our patio in ways we would never have thought about. Because he has so much experience, he pointed out some structural problems with our patio that made it unsafe. Thanks to Orrin, we now have a beautiful covered patio that we know is safe and correctly wired to code. His employees, Daniel and Terry were very polite and great to work with. I will always call Hilton Electric for any electrical work we need! (Orrin also discovered a very serious hazard with the way our floor outlets had been wired. He has corrected the problem and it is not a fire hazard any longer.)

They were prompt and gave me a reasonable estimate. They also were never delayed and kept me informed. Their prices were also very good.

I've used this company several times and always was satisfied. My dishwasher was not working and the serviceman discovered bad wiring in the junction box for the wiring for the DW. He also told me about other potential problems which should be addressed. He did a good job and, as usual, the price was reasonable.

Outstanding. The two men who came to our house were polite, prompt, and thorough. They did the work quickly, and they went to extra lengths to figure out the problem in the kitchen. Apparently, the people who did the original wiring were creative, to say the least, but Hilton Electric identified and fixed the problem. They offered to come back if there were any problems from the electric work they did, but everything has been working perfectly since their visit.

My experience with this company was positive from beginning to end. An employee was available when I first called to provide available time slots and schedule my appointment. The installer and his crew arrived in a timely manner. They were careful in brining the ladder into the house. They even laid down quilts so not to damage the floor. They worked together quickly to complete job. They even vacumned the area after they were done.
