HENDERSON HOME IMPROVEMENT

Willie was hired with the intent of remodeling a home that we had bought. He completed a demolition of a fireplace that was satisfactory, but from a construction point of view was poor. Incorrect insulation was installed, and had to be ripped out due to inspection by Iredell county, framing had to replaced out in porch area because of untreated wood. Framing inside was not completed as agreed. Matter of fact, I paid $4700 for 3 weeks of work and I all that was completed was demolition of fireplace, frame on the front porch, a bit of framing inside. He promised to have the entire job completed in 2 weeks. We had to hire another contractor to replace everything he had completed, re-buy treated lumber for porch area, and re-frame his work inside. I had spoken to him several times about returning the money to us for all construction minus the work for demolition. I was wiling to pay for the demolition only since we had to replace and redo all of the other work performed.
