Came to see work I needed done. Sent written estimate within days. Started work soon after and completed work while I was out of town. Gave FJF house key; completely trusted him as he had worked for me a few years prior. The cost was what he said it would be even though walls/ceilings were in bad shape and needed extra prep and coats of primer/ paint. Very pleased.

Frank was very professional, coming on the weekend to see what needed to be done, and providing an estimate. He then was flexible to work with us as we scheduled around the electrician, and was prompt in his return to complete our work. He is a craftsman, and is thorough and diligent. He was always on time, and cleaned up each day. He quoted for a certain number of coats of patch and stain block, but added more at no additional cost when it was required to do what he felt was a good job. Very nice guy who is easy to work with, and does great work.

After testing out FJF Contracting on some moderate exterior carpentry and paint repairs on the exterior of our home last year, we decided to hire FJF to paint the entire house this spring. The key difference with FJF is attention to detail - theirs is unsurpassed. Frank Fowler, the owner, is a perfectionist and will not accept any outcome other than excellence. This extends to his management of the workers on his crew. Frank is always the first on site and the last to leave, which means things get done the right way. Frank believes that any paint job to the exterior of a house must be preceded by a comprehensive prep job - not the rush job that many house painters try and pull. The results speak for themselves: our house has never looked better, from the shutters on the attic window to the painted brick foundation. We would highly recommend FJF Contracting to anyone seeking top-notch painting of their home.

I called FJF and they came by that same evening to do a comprehensive analysis and quote to repair the plaster in some damaged ceilings. Our house is over 50 years old and has plaster walls & ceilings which some painters don't know how to deal with. Frank is very experienced with plaster and knew exactly how to take care of the problems. FJF was able to start work within the week at my convenience. They were prompt, knowledgeable, polite, and meticulous workers, never taking shortcuts. They left the work area very near & clean each evening. They worked steadily for at least 8 hrs per day with few breaks and got the job done in about 4 days. Their prices seem a bit high, but it is worth every penny to get the job done right the first time. I would not hesitate to recommend FJF !

He was great. He came to my home and gave me an estimate, which is what I paid. The quality of his work, the price and his promptness were all great.

Excellent! We were 1st time home buyers, and Frank was EXTREMELY patient and helpful with all aspects of this project. He is very detailed. He did a wonderful job and we wouldn't think of ever using anyone else for any other project in our home. When we started, we got three quotes from different painters. Frank wasn't the cheapest, but his references were excellent and it was definitely worth the extra money.
