Firestone Complete Auto Care Store

The tire rotation, balance and alignment was part of a lifetime package I purchased a year ago with tires and brakes. Scheduling an appointment was easy and I had it in early in the morning, they promptly accepted the car and had me out the door in about 1 hour 15 minutes. No additional cost and no up-selling. All professional and good experience. I would use them again.

These guys are rip-off artists. I brought in my 2002 Buick Regal (67,000 miles), to get a simple inspection. They failed my car for inspection. They said that the rackand pinion is leaking power steering fluid at the seals. They gave me a cost estimate of $980 to fix it. By flunking my car it forced me into a situation that the repair must be made and certified within a month or my vehicle would be expired, and vulnerable to a ticket. I smelled a rat in this. I then took the car to a mechanic in Indian Trail that I've known and used for repairs for 15 years. He examined it and said there was no problem with the power steering system at all. He also said that if the car were truly in need of the repairs that Firestone claims, he would charge less than $400 to do it. He then had a shop around the corner inspect the car. The car passed inspection with flying colors. Bottom line: Firestone lied about the problem in order to sell me an unneccessary, over-price repair job. This Firestone location is staffed by crooks.

Overall satisfied with this store. I initially dropped off my truck for an oil change in advance of a beach trip with the family. The manager called and advised that the tires were close to being needed to be replaced and discussed options. He was able to replace all the tires late in the day so I could pick the truck up that evening. I appreciated the honesty and and quot;soft selland quot; approach....

I have never had any complaints about their work, either the quality, or being done by the time estimated. They will try to add on a variety of services that you didn't ask for, as a result of their "inspection". You can decide for yourself whether this is a valuable service or not. I marked them down on prices for their tires. They don't seem that competitive, and they have an annoying list of additional services for balancing and valve stem parts and labor (can you really buy a tire without a stem??) that add $20 to the quoted price of the tire. This is surely a standard industry practice, but it makes it difficult to compare full prices. However, overall I continue to use them because they are convenient and I have confidence in their work.

There isn't anything in particular. They did what they were supposed to do, they did it when they were supposed to do and at the price they told me they would do it for. Their professionalism stood out, but that's what I expected. There wasn't anything exceptional.

Their price was an issue. The reason that I did not go back to them was that they were calling around for a filter for my car as they did not have one in the stock. I had an appointment for one week and they knew that my car was coming in. They did not have the filter on hand and had to call around. That was quite a wee. They determined that my car's filter that was available in stores was $40 to $50. It was quite a long time because they had to call around. Their service was good. Once I got the service, they were very thorough. I don't think that they were as good in the beginning. I would go to them potentially but they would not be my first choice. I would probably go back to another service provider that worked on my car as the oil filter would be handier and probably more reasonable. Also, I would be in and out there. Firestone Stores was in a convenient location but it did take a while to get an appointment. I know that from trying to get an appointment for my car seat inspection. It was a very busy location as it was the only spot like that in the downtown area. It would probably take a week to get in. They would not be as available as I would like. Their availability would not be that great.

They said my air cleaner needed to be changed but I was sure they had just replaced it. They claimed they had no record of it but I went home and checked my records and they had just replaced it 8 months ago. I called them back to tell them this and they took away the charge but I find it dishonest when they saw the air cleaner they replaced, it looked brand new and they chose to ignore it.

The service went great.

This Firestone shop is incredibly good at what they do and are professional. I always feel they are doing a quality job and get my monies worth. Unlike at dealership service departments, I know I am not getting screwed.

I was the only one in line. I stood in line for 10 minutes before anyone waited on me. One customer walked by an openly said to me in front of the Procare sales associate: "they don't even know you exist". In addition to the work I requested,(and without any comment or conversation with me), they balanced the tire and added coolant, thereby loading the final bill with extra costs for services I neither requested, approved or needed. The tire didn't require balancing since it had been rotated to its position and balanced three weeks prior to its puncture.

THE CAR CONTINUED TO SHIMMY WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. WE TRIED TO TAKE THE CAR BACK IN UNDER THE WARRANTY TO HAVE THE FRONT ROTORS RESURFACED OR REPLACED. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TURN THE ROTORS ONLY UNDER THE WARRANTY, BUT THAT WOULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, SO THEY WOULD NOT WARRANTY THE WORK. WE TOOK THE CAR TO A DIFFERENT SHOP THAT FIXED THE BRAKES AND ELIMINATED THE SHIMMY. WE HAVE SINCE COMPARED THE PRICE THEY CHARGED FOR THE INITIAL BRAKE JOB AND FOUND IT TO BE CONSIDERABLY HIGHER THAN OTHER SHOPS.

OIL AND FILTER WAS CHANGED BY ACCIDENT DURING THE VISIT. OIL USED BY PROCARE WAS NOT THE TYPE RECOMMENDED BY THE CARS MANUFACTURER. AFTER I RECOGNIZED THE MISTAKE , THE CORRECT OIL WAS THEN USED. NO CHARGE FOR THE SERVICE WAS MADE.

THEY DO A GOOD JOB FOR A FAIR PRICE. THEIR WARRANTY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!
