EXPO GARAGE DOORS

Last year our garage door was having problems opening. I called several providers from Angie's list and decided with Expo because of  the responsiveness and how professional  the owner Steve was.  He showed up on time, explained the issue and fixed the garage door. This past spring we were having issues(different ones) again and we called him again and he came out immediately and again fixed the problem right away. Then this past August, the door wasn't closing properly.  My husband thought that he could fix it instead made the problem worse. Steve was on vacation and told us that when he returned he would let us know. The day after his vacation he came out the next morning. He saw the problem and again fixed it again. I would recommend him to everyone because he is professional, personable and does a GREAT job.

Steve provided excellent service.  He was punctual, professional and very knowledgeable.  He was very detailed in explaining what the issue was with my opener and the options that were available to me.  He replaced my door opener unit, sensors, wall/key pads in a couple of hours, and left my garage spotless.  Steve took the time to examine my garage door  and pointed out a  couple of things to look out for that may cause problems down the road.

Steve arrived on time and did the work in a single session.  I did have a gap under the left and right side of the door because my concrete floor is a little off from the center of the slab. Steve was able to order me a larger seal for the bottom of the door to cover the gap.  Very happy with the work done and the service received.

Steve did the work quickly and in an excellent manner.  He finished the work in one day.

Steve was very easy to get in contact with.  Came out as soon as possible to look at the garage found out that the springs and motor were both gone.  He explained everything and was able to fix it on the spot.  He was very professional, price was great (I had received estimates from other companies), very timely.  I was very pleased with the work.

As stated above, my husband and I are completely happy with the sales, service and completion of our new garage doors provided through the efforts of Steve McKellar and his company, Expo Garage Doors, Inc. He was cheerful and neat, removing all of my garage door debris as well as any debris that collected due to the installation process. If I had to make a critical observation, it would be that he did not stop for a lunch break and more importantly, he made no comment about the aroma of the delicious chocolate cake I baked that day.

My garage door had the cables detached for some unexplained reason.  I called Expo Garage to get an estimate for fixing it.  I thought the springs had broken and therefore Steve gave me an estimate of $145, however once Steve came an assessed the problem it turned out that the springs were still in tact. Steve told me the job would cost much less. I was really thrilled and appreciative for his honesty and having the job done in less than an hour.  I was really pleased with Steve's professionalism, his honesty, and most of all the price.

My garage door suddenly started opening only half way, even after I made sure the sensors were clean and clear and sprayed the rails and wheels with lubricant.  I had to start manually opening and closing the door, which is a pain.  I choose Expo Garage Door because it had excellent ratings on Angie's List and is located reasonably close to my house.  I called Expo Garage Door on Thursday and talked with Steve.  He was friendly, polite and easy to talk to.  I wanted to get an estimate before I committed to the repairs.  He asked me several questions but was not able to pinpoint the problem so we and set up a mutually convenient appointment for Saturday morning.  That morning, he was delayed by a previous appointment and called to let me know, which I very much appreciated.  He arrived when he said he would, inspected the door, reconnected it to the opener and gave it a try.  I had been opening and closing the door manually for 2 days and much to my surprise, it opened completely.  Maybe 2 days of manually opening and closing activated the lubricant - I don't know, but Steve went ahead and set up his ladder to take a look inside the opener.  He made a couple of adjustments and explained to me what he was doing.  He also talked to me about what other kinds of problems might develop over time which would require replacement parts and repairs.  I will definitely call him when that happens.

E-mailed the company on a Thurday evening.  Received replies back late that evening with a time that he could show up the next day.  He followed up with a call the next morning to let us know that he could arrive earlier than he originally told us - how often does that happen!  Steve is a great guy, very professional and polite.  He immediately went to work replacing the spring and went above and beyond by lubricating the tracks and system.  He was done very quickly and the door is also much quieter now.  I would use them again without question!

The guy who came out was very professional and knew what he was doing. He gave us a lot of information on what needed to be done and what he was doing.  We were very pleased with him.  I would definitely recommend him to others.

Originally called for a repair to the garage door, but the door was damaged so severely Steve said fixing it would lead to other problems and I wouldn't be happy. So I went with a new door and, as there wasn't a garage door opener, added the door opener too. He did not try to up-sell me, we just spent time talking about garage doors and the potential issues with the required repairs vs. a new door. Great service, prompt, professional, courteous and follow-up afterwards to ensure customer satisfaction.

Placed a call to Steve after seeing his latest Angie's list reviews and explained the problem I was having with the garage door. After a few questions, he determined it was a broken spring. A quote was given to me over the phone, along with a covered warranty over the springs being added. Called a few more companies for a price check on the work ~ nobody could touch the price and warranty he gave me. He arrived promptly, was professional, efficient, and explained to me exactly what he did to fix the garage. Steve called literally 1 hour after I submitted a quote request. He showed up on time, was extremely pleasant and very knowledgable, and did an expert installation. The doors look great, work flawlessly and are VERY quiet!! We couldn't be more pleased. I would be happy to refer even the pickiest of people to Steve. Really quality work. I priced these doors on line and you CAN NOT get them any cheaper than through Expo. His installation rate was very reasonable and he cleaned up beautifully when he was done. A+ work

Contacted Steve to repair an existing garage door opener. After discussing his estimate to repair a 16 yr old unit and the cost to replace the unit we decided to replace the unit. Steve scheduled the appointment for the next day. He showed up on time the finished within an hour.

I looked on Angie's list and chose to call Expo. Steve was very friendly and gave me a time when he could work on my door. He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem, told me how much it would be and fixed the problem. Very friendly, professional and I will definitely call again and recommend his services.

Called and made an appointment with Steve for that afternoon. He called to let me know he would be a little late because of traffic. After checking the door and opener, he explained in detail what the problem was with the garage door opener and what would be need to fix the problem and how much time it would take to do the repair. The repair took a little long the expected because Steve had to go get a part the he did not have but the delay was not very long. I was very pleased with the work that was done.

Steve responded to our call immediately. He came out that day, and after diagnosing the above mentioned issue, called me as soon as he located the appropriate springs, and gave me the estimate. We scheduled a date, he was here on time, and completed the work in an hour. He was neat, efficient and extremely courteous. He did not charge me for the original service call. He does feel, that because of the stress placed on the mortor, by the inappropriate springs, that it will go soon. I will, by all means, based on this experience, hire him to do the job, when the time comes. I have also suggested him to others who might be in need of this service.

contractor supplied a quick response, estimate and was on the job the next day with the work completed on the same day. He did not try to up sell me on anything else and was very professional throughout the entire process.

Excellent Experience. Steve was at our house within several hours, assessed the situation and recommended a new unit to replace a 30 year old unit that had burned out. He returned the next morning on time and replaced the old rollers, installed the new unit and added an outside keypad. Steve is very professional and has the experience to do the job correctly and quickly.

Steve provided an estimate over the phone. He came that very day, but had to come back the next morning because my husband was needed to move garage items out of the way. (Our fault, not Steve's.) This meant two trips for him - which was very nice of him with no extra cost to us. He showed up when he said he would the next morning and performed the job in a short period of time. He was friendly and professional. And the garage door works great! We would highly recommend him and will not hesitate to call if needed in the future.

He was on time and polite. He was willing to answer all of my questions and I was completely satisfied with all of his work.
