Prompt, professional, reasonably priced. They did an excellent job refinishing our hardwood floors and stair railings. Erick patiently answered all of our questions and his crew did everything promised. They even helped us move a few heavy pieces of furniture. Highly recommend!

We used EM Hardwood Flooring to refinish our floors when we bought our home. They did a good job so 3 years later we called only them to rebuild and refinish another staircase. During the project they mistakenly drilled holes through the ceiling. We understand mistakes happen but it was extremely difficult to get Erick to fix the holes they made in a ceiling that was absolutely perfect. He wanted our other vendor who was not responsible to do the repair. He finally fixed it with paint that doesn’t really match. Then we noticed gaps in the steps. He refused to finish the sealing. A picture is attached. It’s a shame that the level of service and quality has changed.

"The damage on the ceiling I told her that we didn't do it that maybe someone who was working on the 3rd floor did it since she was remodeling the entire 3rd floor but she kept saying that we did it so I decided to fix it The client was informed verval and written in the estimate that in the process of installation, sanding, stain and poly of the steps in the end the client is responsible for doing the touchup on the trim risers and drywall Em hardwood floors inc don’t do panting and drywall and she agreed two months later she contacts me telling me that I forgot to touch up the drywall she says is my responsibility to fix the gap in the drywall, with which I replied with the agreement in the estimate."

Erick was the most responsive and professional contractor that we have ever used while living in Charlotte and we have lived here for 20 years. He always answered our calls and text. Erick and his team were amazing from start to finish. We were able to get a very reasonable quote promptly and were able to get the project scheduled a couple weeks out. He allowed us to test 7 different stains a few days before the project started and was helpful in providing additional thoughts and pictures when we had trouble choosing the final stain. His crew arrived promptly and easily finished the project on time. They also helped in moving larger pieces of furniture as needed. Finally, we heard a lot of concerns about the dust related to refinishing - we have found almost zero dust upon returning. I would highly recommend EM Hardwood to anyone!

Erick was one of the best contractors I have ever worked with and there is a reason he has so many 5 star reviews. His communication was amazing. He answered all questions and was right on time every day. More importantly, the work he completed was flawless. I am pretty picky and his work was masterful. You can tell tell he puts tremendous pride into his work. His price was competitive and he was the only contractor who would do the floors, the stairs, the railings and also would move the furniture. Also important is that I could trust Erick and had no concerns being out of my home for the week. His crew were very respectful and hard working. Highly recommend!

Erick and his crew were great from start to finish. They were punctual, professional and met or exceeded all expectations for our project. Our hardwoods were refinished pre-Covid; however, we didn't have our stair handrails refinished by that company. Erick and crew stepped in, matched the floors perfectly and replaced white wooden balusters with black wrought iron balusters. I would gladly hire EM Hardwood floors again and highly recommend them to anyone looking to have any hardwood refinishing projects completed.

EM hardwood was amazing. Erick listened to what we were trying to accomplish then gave us recommendations based on his experience. Other companies simply said “ok I can do that”. Erick instead talked about finishing colors, how it matches with the house and then provided a stain that I didn’t even know existed for longer lasting protection. Amazing all around.

Eric and his team did an excellent job and our floors look great. Highly recommend EM Hardwood Floors. One thing that I really appreciated was they were always on time. When he said he would be there at a certain time, you could count on them backing into your drive at that exact time. Very happy I selected these guys!!

I highly recommend Erick. He quickly responds to emails and texts. His price was reasonable and fair. Erick works onsite with his team and they were always punctual. They are all extremely professional. Erick uses a dust free process to sand the floors. It is truly dust free. There was no mess at all. I wish everyone was as easy to work with as Erick.

Eric was very professional. He was very patient and listened to what we needed . He mixed the custom colors several times until we were fully satisfied. He used the best products for a very reasonable price. We ended up with the water based natural finish which is beautiful and is also holding up really good even with a really active dog in the house.
