EASTWAY LOCK & KEY INC

Charged a service call; took all measurements and supposedly ordered equipment. Weeks go by, after multiple calls and emails I was told that the equipment will be ordered and be in next week. That’s what I was told weeks before. I believe they just forgot about the order until I bugged them. Called another locksmith and he came out within 2 days and replaced everything. Lost the $$ spent on the service call.

We called late on a Monday and they scheduled us for Thursday morning (since this was not an emergency). Two men came out to do the work. They removed and replaced the broken doorknob, lubricated two others, and repaired a fourth. They also rekeyed the new lock. All the doorknobs work well now. We appreciate the good job Eastway Lock & Key did for us.

I checked around and their price was comparable. They were very responsive. They are reliable, do good work, and I would recommend them.

The tech that came just changed the cylinders on 2 doors, and added one lock to an inside door. They did not work any better than what was there. He commented on leaving that the space in the door frame was not deep enough and sure enough the next chilly humid day the lock barely caught and a good swift push opened right up. I ended up ordering the heavy duty old fashioed brass locks I'm used to from living in NYC and having to pay a handy man to come install.

Joe was wonderful, helpful, clean, kind & patient. He made sure I was comfortable using the new key in all the locks! I appreciate his service & the assistance of the dispatcher to make sure Joe arrived in time for me to go to work also.

The guy was really nice and cleaned up behind himself. He was able to fix the door jam, not the set screw. The price seems really high for 30 minutes of work.

I was a few minutes late getting back to my house and missed their serviceman on his first visit. My fault. He called and came back that afternoon. He was personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I was referred to Eastway by another locksmith who could not change the German made locks on three of my 5 doors. The serviceman from Easway removed them and took them back to the shop so he could rekey them correctly with the materials he needed. He returned quickly and installed them. They work flawlessly. He also changed the lock on my front door. This lock has caused trouble for us since it was installed 8 years ago. It sticks and I have to lift the door (extremely heavy) to get it to unlock. I've often struggled to get it open while keeping someone waiting on the other side of the door and wondered if it would be a hazard in a fire. I can't fully lock it from the outside. The serviceman from Eastway accessed the door as well as the lock and was able to rekey it in a few minutes. It was not installed properly the first time. It now works flawlessly. It opens with a light touch. I can lock it easily from the outside and inside. I thought about getting rid of it and buying another one, but this saved me the money. I am in love with my front door again. I am extremely pleased with their work. I would only use Eastway for my locks in the future.

They came out pretty quickly and they helped me. It was fine but it wasn't cheap. The guy was very knowledgeable, creative and helpful. He was really knowledgeable about the door and how it worked and didn't work. He was very polite and very personable. He cleaned up after himself. I would recommend them.

They bent over backward to assist me with this, although I was out of town. You cannot pay for this type of service!

Joe from Eastway came to our house after another locksmith could not fix our door locks because they are so old. Joe had no problem though, he got them working and re-keyed. We were very satisfied with the work.

They were extremely easy to work with. They showed up exactly when they said they would. We discussed the job and they got to work. The keys were cut in their van and they were done quickly. Good work.

Service worker was uncommunicative and abrupt. I realized I did not trust him to have access to my home so I hired another company who came out the next day and redid the work as well as repairing some door knobs which were hard to use.

They guy who came and did the work was very personable. They were on time and did the work. Their pricing was good.

We have used them for years whenever we have needed something. They are very courteous, very prompt, and very fair. They have always done a good job. They have never gouged or taken advantage of people. They are just fabulous.

Called Eastway at 9:00 AM....Gave information on the phone and told Me that a service person would arrive in 30 min....Which he did.....Fixed both both locks in about 35 min.... Very professional service....If needed, will use Eastway again....

They came out and did the work. They did a good job. They are a good company. They completed the work the same day. The price was reasonable.
