They've done some major jobs for us- replacing the majority of our pipes in the basement (we live in an old house with cast iron pipes we replaced with PVC) and the line out to the street and small like changing out the fixtures in the shower. I think they are equally great at both.
I feel very comfortable that they are doing the job right and have very reasonable pricing. They definitely go above and beyond- in explaining the issues, the options you have to fix it and getting it done right. They are also very professional so I feel 100% confident having them in my home.
The Drain Express guys showed exactly when promised, ran a blade and camera through my line, and pulled out both once they encountered some resistance. Then they used a half-blade to get several feet farther down the line and ran the camera a second time. They found gravel, trash, and cement chunks in the line, used a detector to locate the corresponding spot above ground, then ran the camera back and forth several times until a much darker spot became obvious on the camera monitor. The darker spot turned out to be an old cleanout line, which apparently got uncapped or cut during 2002 street and sidewalk construction .... allowing debris to get in my line before the evidence was covered up with pavement.
Ronnie and Ryan postponed another appointment long enough to be at my house when a city sewer crew arrived. They hung out still longer, until a city field operations supervisor came and verbally committed to replacing the buried cleanout and flushing the construction debris from our lateral sewer line to the main line. Once we had that promise from the city, Ronnie walked me through what to expect when the city did that replacement work over the next two weeks. He told me that we indeed had a "dip in the line" ... but he thought the "dip" would be a non-issue once the city did their repairs, and recommended no further action at this point.
As far as I'm concerned, the guys at Drain Express now are my plumbers for life! They could have taken the easy way out like my first two plumbers, but were the only plumbing crew of the three companies I used in that ten-day period who went the extra mile to figure out the real problem and make sure I was not saddled with repair expenses that were not my responsibility. I give my highest recommendation to Drain Express!!!
