Distinctive Cabinets LLC

Not well. Steve Young verbally promised all wood cabinets would be primed and protected. Please see the attached pics. Particle board (MDF) was used for the recessed portion of the cabinets. This particle board (MDF) was not primed. It bubbled and peeled when hit with ANY bit of water (drops from a spilled glass). Now we are facing very expensive repairs from another provider that verified the lack of priming and composite materials. If you use this company, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!

Steve was the first person I met with that tried to solve my kitchen design issues. He had a "can do" attitude which was refreshing. Others I met with seemed focused on their needs and not mine! I was very glad we worked with distinctive cabinets, their job was on time, as promised and they were easy to work with.

Love the cabinets. They use an oil-based finish and it has held up very well. they matched the requested colors beautifully. Stained wood looks great too. Steve (owner) is a perfectionist so he is very "hands-on," personally coming out to measure before starting the job. Pricing was very fair. We had a few issues with getting knobs put on and having cabinets straight but it all worked out.

The guys did a fabulous job, from helping with the design and selecting the stain to building and installing. They had to hand cut a piece to match the stone waves which was very time consuming and tedious.

The work was fine, professional, on time, etc. They did a very good job---took extra time to match wood, color, etc.

Cabinets are beautiful. However, I am now having a problem with paint chipping on the bottom of one of the cabinets and also on one of the doors. That being said, I have not yet called Distinctive Cabinets to see what they can do about it. Just noticed the problem a couple of weeks ago. During the planning process, the owner was very helpful in helping me to plan the layout and design of the cabinets. I still love them.

They are timely for the most part. They were very responsive to my phone calls and they had great communication. I dealt with Steve, the owner, and he came out to inspect the job and he also made the design for us. He kept me involved and in the loop during the process. Their prices were fair as well.

They are just awesome! Steve Young was great to work and his crew arrived on time every day. My husband had sketched a picture of the bar he wanted, and they designed off of the picture my husband drew. There were no delays and everything went as scheduled. Prices were comparable to others. I could not say more good things about this. The work turned better than we ever could have imagined.

He brought us into his showroom and the service felt personalized. We compared them to other companies and we felt most comfortable with DISTINCTIVE CABINETS LLC. We were satisfied with their service and nothing has come apart since they installed everything. Steve is great to do business with.

They are beautiful and the cabinets are working great. After making them, it took about day or two to install the cabinets. The cabinets were delivered at their promised time. We did have a problem or two and they fixed it immediately at no additional cost. We have been very happy with their work.

They did a great job. Ed drew up wonderful plans and was patient through the time it took for me to select details (door styles, etc.) and paint and stain colors. The cabinets are top quality and I am very pleased. I would definitely use them again. My only criticism relates to the installer leaving a huge mess - apparently his vacuum cleaner was broken.

We worked with Ed Sielsky from Distinctive Cabinets LLC. He was so nice and professional. He came to the house and measured the space. He listened to what our desires were for the vanity and the window seat, looked at our sketches and came back with a reasonable price for both. He was so easy to work with, making sure to design the proper vanity/window seat to fit our needs. The approximate time for the completion was 6 weeks. The installation was problem free and professional! The finished products are beautiful! We would definitely recommend this company!

Process from start to finish was great. Final product SPECTACULAR !! Highly recommend.
