It was expensive. They provide all mattresses for the famous house downtown; The Duke House. This is the same mattress they put in the house. They have been in business for like 75 years. It is a very small company and I was able to deal directly with the owner.

Alan, the owner, handled our transaction from start to finish. I met with him at the showroom/warehouse to see/try the beds and then again with my husband to discuss some of the more technical aspects.
After we placed the order the bed was actually finished before promised. Delivery was smooth. We have had the bed now for about 2 months and all is great so far.

They fit our requirements to a T! We sent them the dimensions for a mattress and they met everything perfectly. They exceeded every expectation. I would deal with Alan ANY time.

Alan Hirsch worked with me to design a custom mattress for a built-in daybed/window seat. Until I met him, I assumed only the rich and famous could afford custom mattresses. But Alan helped me select a combination of materials that ensured my mattress would be comfortable and affordable. He said it usually takes up to a week to construct such a custom mattress, but he hurried to process to accommodate our guests who would be needing to use the mattress in just a few days. He got it done in time, no problem.
Great guy, great mattress. My little daybed/window seat is now the best seat in the house, thanks to Alan. :)
And, as expected, the cats like it too.

They are the most expensive mattress place in town and supposed to be of the highest quality. The mattress I received was completely different than the one I chose off the showroom floor. I went around and around with the company and they swapped it out for me, but it started sagging within six months time. They are very rude.

"I am sorry that you were unhappy with your purchase. I checked our records and it shows that you purchased our Worthington set ( $1,414.00) on 1/08/2003. Apparently you were not happy with the mattress that was delivered and you wanted us to switch it out with our floor model. The construction of our mattresses do not vary from what is in the showroom. Since all of mattresses are handmade, there can be some slight variance in the firmness. Again, I apologize for your inconvenience and if we can ever be of service again, I will personally make sure your product meets our high standards. Alan Hirsch President"
