Dan's Handyman Service, LLC

When you think of the reason as to why a website such as Angies List exist it is because of contractors like Dan Nouanthanuvanh (Dan's Handy Man Service, LLC). Dan was introduced to me through a mutual friend (this friend had never had work completed for her by Dan) and stated he needed projects to keep his workers busy during the depressed economy. He gave a reasonable price for a deck and french door installation (the price was fair for a 2012 post recession economy). Dan also stated the project would be completed within two weeks. The project started during early February and it is now mid May and the project is not completed. The bedroom was out of use for three weeks while the french door was being installed. Dan refuses to complete the work due to him being paid and moved onto other projects (my fault for paying 100% up front). After work started he constistently stated he gave a "friend" discount and was working for free and that I was being ridiculous to ask for him to complete the project. I now have to pay another contractor to complete the work and his low quality work on installing the french doors has resulted in additional expenses. I will compliment the carpentor sub-contractor that Dan used. the carpentor that built the deck was very professional and completed his portion of the work timely. He also scheduled several dates that he would come out to complete the project and I would take time away from work for him to never show up.
