They were great there. They were good to me. They have a unit just for hip replacement patients so when you’re moved there, you have one nurse that takes care of you. It was just a good experience. The doctor is super. When I was in his office, the staff was so super. When you go in, you don’t have to wait. He takes time with you. When I tried to get out of my bed, I got twisted in the sheets and he was there to help me. He was so kind and gentle at helping me get untwisted. He just got that kind of nature and people travel from everywhere to go to him. He checks to make sure my hip and everything is still in place and nothing has issues.

The overall experience was very positive. The doctors took their time to examine me, asked many questions and very patiently explained to me the cause of the pain. They also presented treatment options. I did not feel rushed and I did not get any vague answers to my questions.

In May of 2007, I had a very bad hyper extended knee. The follow up was to go to Dr. Mauerhan. He thought that I had damaged ACL and MCL. So, he put me on an exerciser which worked up to a point. Several months later, when it wasn?t getting any better, he sent me for an MRI. Nobody thought that I had to get a MRI and they thought that I just had a broken bone. They discovered a torn meniscus and that?s when Dr. Mauerhan did the arthroscopic surgery. He did a beautiful job and I am fine now. There was a little bone contusion that took so long for somebody to decide to do MRI. It took around 5 months. He is very well regarded in Charlotte. He is a really good looking guy and all the women are crazy about him.

Did an excellent job. I was up and walking the next day. I went home the following week and I was up and around doing well. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to everyone I know.
