Initially, Mat clashed with my general contractor, so there was lots of drama associated with the installation that I would have preferred to avoid. Over the past two years, there have been a number of bugs in the system. While Mat was prompt to respond when called about the bugs, I eventually tired of their recurrence and hired another contractor to fix them and perform some system upgrades. Apparently, although I paid Mat thousands of dollars for my system, he (unbeknownst to me) password protected the system so that other contractors couldn't work on it. He flatly refused to provide the password when requested and my new contractor had to perform several hours of work to wipe the system clean and start from scratch. Luckily, the new contractor is mature and competent with no nonsense and has satisfactorily fixed the issues that Mat wasn't able (or refused) to resolve. Further, there was a lot of sloppiness associated with Mat's installation that he's been able to clean up. My advice: skip the drama and go with a professional that is confident enough in his work that he doesn't need a password to retain clients that are fed up enough to go elsewhere! In the end, it was worth the extra money to get rid of Mat!
