City Wide Exterminating Inc

We have used City Wide for 15 years for exterminating needs at our office.  They are always very professional and address any concerns quickly.  Several employees had also used City Wide at their personal homes.

They are professional, reliable and on time. They have a good price.

I had moths flying out of my pantry occasionally and did not know if this was a common problem or if a moth had accidentally flown in. I called Robert and he knew that this was actually an infestation and, as it turns out, a common problem in pantries. He set up a time to come out and helped me go through some of the food items in my pantry that were most likely to have larvae on or in them and showed me what to look for. He checked in other cabinets as well. I have used City Wide Exterminating for various problems and for termite control for about 16 years and have always been completely satisfied. I like using this small family business because I get personal, friendly, and professional service.

We don’t really have pest problems.  We have had a couple of minor problems recently, and they came out and took care of it very quickly.  We had ants in two different places.  We think they’re economical too.

I've used them continuously for the last 6 years. It's a small family owned company & they provide really good customer service. If I saw a bug between scheduled times, I'd just call & they'd come out for free.

They are really fantastic. They are very thorough, friendly, and affordable.

It went very well.  The exterminator was friendly and explained what he was going to do and what my expectations of the treatment should be.  Carpenter bees are hard to treat and the treatment they would be doing would be a temporary fix.  We had so many bees, anything would have helped.  By the next day the number of bees had decreased drastically and so far it has stayed that way.  They may need to come back to spray in 30-60 days, and will follow up with me.  They are really nice and friendly to deal with on the phone as well.  We have decided to use them again to control mosquitos this summer.

The exterminator was early to the appointment (and called to make sure that would be all right).

He showed concern about keeping my less than emaculate house tidy as possible by wearing booties inside.

He seemed thorough in his investigation into my issues of ants and silverfish and scanned my attic and garage for signs of other insect activity.

Was not too pleased that ants required "second treatments" at further cost, but he was kind enough to discuss options with me such as over the counter baits.  He was not pleased at the over the counter products we had been using - saying they repel the ants instead of killing the colony.  My thought was if I repel them they will also go away though.

Overall, seemed to clear up the silverfish with the single visit.  The ants are under control with a few additional sprays of over the counter products in the key areas (my sons play table that gets crumbs on it).

Disappointed in the "bait" that he left.  I put it right by the ants on my sons play table and they (the ants) didn't seem interested in it at all.

Hence the overall "B" rating.

I have no complaints.  They do a great job!

It was very good.  They were very professional and they were actually early.  They called and came out about 2 hours early since they were in the area.

We have used City Wide several times now, and they always do a good job.  They're friendly and thorough, and I like that they don't try to sell you anything or lock you into a contract.  On this last visit Chris came for a quarterly spray and removed a yellow jackets nest in the backyard.  Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy the 4th of July weekend hanging out in the backyard.

I have used City Wide for years when problems arise.  Unlike others they do not push for a quarterly/yearly contract.  They will do it if you want one...I appreciate giving me the services I request.   They treated the ants in this case and seems to have been successful.

From the first call everyone was professional. Estimate was thoroughly explained. All work was perfomed in the manner described. Everything was done in the time frame put forth. No sign of termites, ants or roaches since. 

I have a contract with them from before. They did a great job. I've been in this house for thirteen years and every year it's the same thing. Other exterminating companies had to come out four or six times but City Wide took care to it in one visit. I found them on Angie's List.

I gave Citywide a call because I was worried about some mysterious dust piles by the inside of my back door. It was late Thursday afternoon. The owner's wife took a message and he called me back shortly. He was able to squeeze me in the next day when I told him my circumstances. The owner was positive, right on time, listened to my concerns, explained exactly what he was doing, and answered all my questions. The dust piles were from carpenter ants getting into my door so, he sprayed it well too. He took off his shoes to walk around in my house and was carefull to relock my doors before he left. I will definitely call him if I have any other concerns in the future.

Citywide is always prompt and gives great service.  Much less expensive than my previous provider

When my heating and air conditioning service man was checking my duct work, he discovered an infestation of an insect under the ducts that were on the ground. I checked Angie's list and found that City-Wide had great ratings. Robert Hunnicutt came out the next morning and identified the insect as pharoah ants...a huge infestation! He also found a smaller termite mound that was not active. Given the age of my house he encouraged me to have the termite treatment, which would also kill the ants. His crew was able to come out the next day. They were prompt, went straight to work, and continued non-stop. They treated my entire crawl space, perimeter, concrete patio and porch, and my storage building. I could not be more pleased.

Based on my experiences with City Wide, I would highly recommend you DO NOT USE THEM. They seem to be quite shady in providing the full story up front. City Wide was recommended to me by a coworker. When I called to schedule an appointment, I was told it would be $125 for the first quarter, and subsequent quarters were cheaper. I specifically asked if this was for one trip or if this would cover the entire quarter, and I I was told they would perform repeat visits if necessary. City Wide got off on the wrong foot, being about 25 minutes late for my appointment. While they did call (5 minutes before they were supposed to be there!) it still caused me to be late to work. The rep seemed friendly and courtious, however, the real problems began after he had completed his services. When asking for payment, he presented a one-year contract for me to sign. This was the first time a contract had ever been mentioned to me - up until this point, we only had talked about the quarter. While I did indeed pay for the services, I had no interest in signing a year-long contract, especially because this was the first time it was mentioned. Approximately 1.5 months later, I had not noticed any decrease in the amount of pests around my house, so I called for a repeat visit. This is when I was told it would be $70 for a repeat visit - even though I was originally told that I was paying for a quarter's worth of services. I called again, pretending to be a new customer, and asked about pricing. Once again, they did not mention the contract and told me the servics were for a quarter. To me this seems like they are intentionally misleading customers, rather than it having simply been an oversight in my case. I opened a BBB case, giving City Wide a chance to make things right. I even offered to pay for another quarter's worth of services as a show of good faith, if they would make the return visit that I was originally promised would be included. They refused to make good on their original offer of return visits being included. All in all, I believe that City Wide is intentionally being misleading, and I have given them multiple oppertunities to make things right. Each time they have neglected to do so - going so far as to call me a "customer that can't be pleased" - something I disagree with, given I told them exactly what I wanted (either a return visit or a refund) - and even *IF* I was a customer that could not be pleased, you don't ever tell the customer that to their face. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Great. They cover every room, no need to move items and are very effective.

The exterminator came well within the time range stated and was quick, professional and polite. He explained what he was going to do and did it smoothly. He also gave the ivy in my front yard a quick check for further ground bees, found none and gave it a light spraying, just in case insects were living in the thick growth of ivy. I waited nine days to see if the bees would come back; they have not, so I conclude that the service was effective. One thing I especially liked: I asked about termite inspections and prevention; he gave me a thorough answer but never tried to sell me on a service. Nor, so far, has anyone called me to pitch such an inspection. It's a pleasure to ask a simple question, get a solid answer and not be pressured at all for further service -- though I would use them if I sought that kind of inspection.

Chris showed up at exactly the time he was expected - to the minute. He was kind, friendly and thorough. He even went up on my roof to spray inside the chimney and see if there was a screen preventing critters from coming in (there wasn't). I also signed up for the quarterly service going forward.

I am on a long-term treatment plan with these folks, and they come every quarter to spray and check for any problems. We have had occasional tree roaches (water bug) coming in the house and the treatment keeps them down to a minimum. They call a few days ahead to schedule an appointment and are always right on time. They spray inside, including basement and attic, and outside (foundation). The technicians are always courteous.
