The project exceeded our expectations.



Over the last number of years, we have done many projects to repair and upgrade our 40-year old house. This was our last big project, and we have been putting it off because of how difficult and invasive we thought it would be. Since we thought there could be a considerable amount of plumbing involved, we asked our plumber for a recommendation of someone he knew in the remodeling field that he thought would be good for the job. He recommended Charlie Brown, owner of Charlotte Remodeling Company. During our first meeting with Charlie, it was clear he was professional and would be good to work with. His detailed discussion on scope and what we wanted led us to believe that we would have a detailed and clear understanding of what would be done, and that he was like us and did not want to leave anything to "guesswork.



The work involved an entire removal of all fixtures (including bath tub), down to studs and subfloor. Even the demo was the cleanest we have experienced. All work was done carefully, neatly and of high quality. One thing that really impressed us was Charlie's project management. Subs were scheduled promptly, and we always were aware of when someone was coming to do work. They in return, were always met by Charlie, or briefed beforehand and knew what they were to do and what was the expectations. There were no "surprises" or unexpected items along the way. The early planning really paid off.

Charlie was a pleasure to work with as was every contractor that came to the project for him. During our initial consultation with Charlie he came up with a number of excellent solutions to questions we asked. He gave us a longer completion time than we had expected because the projected needed building inspection & approval from the city as we went along & he said this could sometimes cause delay. Thankfully the only delay we had was from Mother Nature filling the foundation dig out with water before the inspector came. Ultimately Charlie finished a month earlier than predicted which was fabulous for all of us. The invoices were clear with every receipt for materials purchased included & hours shown.
