CHARLOTTE OUTDOOR CREATIONS

A 30 Day project turned into a 90 Day project and the summer was over when the porch was done. We had no changes or modifications, they just where over-booked and over-committed. Horrible Communication and John, the salesman was the only positive part of the experience. We have some WORKMANSHIP PROBLEMS with the porch and have repeatedly asked to follow up and that they address the issues, but to no avail. Examples include; Using Particle Board on areas that were obviously going to be exposed to rain caused swelling and paint to peel. Load bearing column shifted! Gutter not installed right causing water to overflow out of the middle of the gutter onto the covered patio soaking outdoor rug and furniture during moderate rain) Not professional at all. After detailed email with pictures, no response. It's been almost two years now of phone calls and emails and hollow promises.  We have simply given up trying to contact them realizing that if we want to repair we are just going to have to find someone else to do it. I believe the owner, Ron, has been in plenty of these situations and knows that in most cases it's not worth it for the customer to pursue a legal course so he knows he can ignore the unhappy customers who eventually just give up at some point. It's a shame...

They did a great design work and execution of what we wanted. The workers were very nice. We are going to use them again in a couple of weeks.

It took a longer than expected but that was because of the other sub contractor. The quality, workmanship, and all was excellant. They listened to my concerns and really done a fantastic overall job.

We should have realized early on what a mistake it would be to work with this company. Ron spent way too much time on our plan, probably because he spent much more time on his actual construction projects and treated our design as a side job. He would forget to incorporate changes that were discussed, came back out onsite to revisit the same discussions we previously had. A complete waste of my time. He said he would take care of providing all documentation that was necessary for our HOA - when in the end, I had to pull together about half of the materials needed. What took 4 months to complete should have been done in 1 month had he focused the time on our design. It took him weeks to turn around changes to the design plan that we discussed, and then he still missed some of the items. His attention to detail is also something to be desired. His inexperience in this field really showed when he presented us with a proposal - almost double what he originally provided as a rough ballpark estimate. I would definitely stay away from this company!
