He did the work in 2 segments and it was internal & external. On one side, he completely renovated a bathroom from the floor up. He did new siding and put in new windows. He put in new gutters and painted the outside of the house. In the 2nd phase, he did some interior work on the other side of the duplex. Overall, the process took 4 months to do. Michael Cassidy is an honorable man and he does craftsman level work. He's very responsive and a very good listener. He was on time with beginning the work and ending the project on time. He's a good man!

This extensive project could not have gone better, from beginning to end. Michael Cassidy is not only an experienced general contractor and builder (30 years in the business), but he is also a craftsman himself. Unlike many contractors, he stays on the job all day every day, doing much of the work himself and overseeing his assistants. He is the first one to arrive in the morning, and when he leaves at night the house and surroundings are neat and clean, no matter what kind of dirt and destruction are being wreaked in the building/remodeling process. A perfectionist, he did a lot of the work himself, including floor and backsplash tile, outdoor tile, laying hardwood floors, carpentry machine operation. He took down walls, moved the laundry room, and combined our small kitchen, sunroom and old laundry room into one large, beautiful space. He took down our old deck and crafted a lovely custom outdoor room made of wood and stone, with columns, a fireplace, a tray ceiling and a place for a flat-screen TV. He regraded our back yard and driveway to address drainage issues, took up our brick patio and laid one in stone, crafted lovely retaining walls and stairs. He worked with our kitchen designed and Eudy's Cabinets to give us a state-of-the-art kitchen of our dreams. He covered our old brick fireplace in the den and cut every piece of wood by hand to give it an updated, elegant look, then built a custom bookcase beside it for our den television. Though the entire project took about 8 months, because of his organization and work ethic, we were without a kitchen for only 9 weeks! I wish I could add photos so everyone could see this stunning transformation of our 30-year-old home. Every little detail - from where to put outlets, lights and vents to the construction of crown moulding and porch railings to where the water flows around the house - was important to Michael, and he has continued to check on his work afterward to make sure we have no problems. The whole process was smoother than we expected and the cost was quite reasonable given the broad scope of the overall project. Michael was flexible when we kept adding to the project as it went along. We love our new look. We recommend Cassidy Builders highly and without reservation.
