This company did a wonderful job finding a nice carpet in our budget, moved all the furniture in record time, even breaking down all the beds and putting them all back together, installed the new carpets and completed the job in one day. It was very impressive and couldn't have gone better. We even saved a little money unexpectedly when the installer recommended we keep our good pads instead of replacing them thus reducing his hourly pay. I will never call anyone else to replace carpets in our home. Thank You team- we love our new carpeting.
After he completed his own measurement, he called me the next day to confirm my quote. It was very close to the original so I was very happy with this. He said the final amount due, minus the deposit, was $900.34 which make a total of $1400.34. He said I would need to pay the installer separately on the day of install $192.60. I said that was no problem and was that $192.60 part of the $900.34 that was due or was it extra. He said it was included in the quote. I asked him this several times. He said several times that the total amount due would be $1400.34. I asked that he email me the breakout of the quote but I never received anything.
The day of install, the installers were 30 min late but once there got right to work. They didn't speak very much English, but they worked extremely fast and did a great job. I was quoted 5-6 hours for installation and they completed it in about 2hrs. If I could rate the installers separately I would give them all A's. I was originally told I could use a credit card to pay the installer but the installer didn't have his card machine with him so he said I could just pay the store and they would pay him.
After they charged my credit card I noticed that they charged both the $900.34 and the $192.60 meaning I was charged a total of $1592.94 instead of $1400.34. I called and spoke to Michael again. He insisted that it was charged correctly as the installer had to be paid separately. I tried explaining to him that he told me the $192.60 was included in the total quote of $1400.34 but he insisted it was charged correctly. He said he couldn't remember all the quotes he gave his customers and no one had ever complained before. I asked to speak to a manager or someone else since we just kept going around in circles. He said he would ask the owner to contact me, Susan Rush. This was 3 weeks ago and I have not heard from anyone.
I'm very disappointed that the salesperson was dishonest in the pricing and apparently didn't even know what he had quoted, it could have been a very good experience otherwise.

The installers arrived early, and were extremely courteous while they worked. The quality of their installation was Good (B) - not Excellent (A) - but they were also relatively inexpensive at $130 for about 3.5 hours of work between two guys. For example, the carpet seam in the room is a little more obvious than I would have preferred, but will probably disappear over time as it's worn in.
Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and the installation, and intend on going back when we want to recarpet the next room.
Carpet Discount Warehouse isn't your standard carpet dealer storefront. They obtain parcels of carpet that are left over from other company's large jobs, as well as large rolls that are discontinued (etc), that the original sellers would rather offload at a steep discount than keep and try to sell themselves. If you are looking for an alternative to the high priced stores around town, and are open to working with 'whats available' - check this place out!
I called them first, then went to the showroom/warehouse. Although there was a lot to choose from, we had a particular price point in mind, so the choosing was rather easy and simplified. The owner is very hands-on, which makes this have great appeal for me. They stayed in contact and my carpet was installed the very next day.
Great choice.
