The car is currently not driven since it belongs to our daughter who studies abroad. When I noticed the windows steaming up I figured that water was back in the car and sure enough water was accumulating in the same spot on the back floor. I thought for sure the dealer would take care of this for us since obviously something was overlooked on the first go around. I took the car back and explained the situation. When I got the call that the repair was about $600 I voiced my opinion that this was not okay since I it was only 3 month since we had the car in for service for the same problem. The lady at the counter told my that I should have kept the vehicle in the garage then the drains would not have clogged up or I should have covered it and not parked under a tree. The service manager was not much more helpful, showing me two photographs with leaves on top of the trunk and on the windshield saying that they may have been the cause of the cloggs of the drains.
This leaves us wondering if we even needed new seals in the first place. Had they cleaned out all of the drains like they did this time around perhaps the roof would not have leaked anymore. Instead they just cleaned the sunroof drains and charged us for all new seals. I guess we really don't know what happened, but is highly unlikely that in only 3 month the same problem occurred that didn't give us any problems before in a year.
We are deeply disappointed in this dealership in their service and how their stories changed every time we ask a question. And we don't even now if the leak is fixed yet. It might leak again after a few rain storms. I guess we better find shelter for the car.
