We bought our home in August of 2011 and began noticing spots on our shower doors and noticed that our towels were not soft. We were on well water. I talked to our neighbor and he seemed very happy with his Rain Soft System he had installed approximately 3 years ago. I called Carolina Energy Water & Air to make an appointment. They responded very quickly and sent someone out. I indeed had very hard water. We set up an appointment to have the system installed. Installation went very smoothly and quickly. The system was able to be located in our garage and is very easy to maintain. We have had no problems at all and love the system. I would definitely recommend Carolina Energy to anyone.

We scheduled a meeting to have our water tested and an overview of the Rainsoft system. One of our children has very sensitive skin and we have noticed that with pool season upon us his skin condition was becoming harder to manage. The meeting was informative about the water treatment process and how our water tested. Seeing the results of the test system using our water versus the tap water was quite eye opening. The rep explained each test thoroughly and what the cause/effect was. The system itself is not cheap, however they had several incentives running which made the purchase easier to make. The installation was quickly scheduled and the installer was very prompt, calling ahead of time to tell us he was on his way. He explained what he was going to do and completed the job quickly. He did have a different unit for one piece that we had purchased, so had to return the following day to replace it. However he was extremely apologetic when he realized the office error and made the fix on our schedule. The system has been very good and we have been very pleased with the results. Several of our neighbors are considering installing a similar system.

Very professional. I accidently broke one of the lines when I was filling with salt and they came back and fixed at no cost.

This company was very professional in everything they did. Their sales person was very professional and their installers were on time and very polite. After they installed the system, the installer was very polite and patient and answered all my questions. I know I could have gotten one for cheaper but would not even think of sacrificing the quality I received for a cheaper price. RainSoft has more than exceeded my expectations.

THEY WERE OK FOR THE INSTALLATION BUT THEY NEVER INFORMED US ON ALL THE MONEY WE WOULD SPEND FILTERS OTHER SUPPLIES AND HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO UPKEEP. FOR THIS REASON I WOULD RECOMMEND INSTALLING RAIN SOFT WATER SYSTEMS.

The price I pay is for a contract and I pay every six months. They do a good job.

We haven't had the system very long but so far I am satisfied. They came and installed the system. I didn't check with other companies so I'm not sure how to compare in price. My system is computerized. The salesman came by a few weeks ago to follow up and see how things were going. He gave us a block of salt to put in the system. So far, I am happy with them and I love my water.

I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT THIS COMPANY IS OWNED BY A GROUP OF THEM. WE'VE DEALT WITH THIS COMPANY FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS. THEY SELL AND INSTALL RAINSOFT WATER SOFTNERS AND ACID NEUTRALIZERS. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT THEY ARE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT IS AUTHORIZED TO SERVICE RAINSOFT SYSTEMS IN OUR AREA, AND WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT IS WILLING TO TOUCH THEIR SYSTEM. WE'VE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO REPLACE EVERY COMPONENT OF OUR SYSTEM AT LEAST ONCE, AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK WELL. WE TRIED AN ANNUAL SERVICE CONTRACT, BUT THEN THEY INTERPRETED AMBIGUOUS LANGUAGE AS MEANING IT WAS ONLY A TWO-VISIT CONTRACT AND WOULDN'T COME OUT TO ADJUST THE SYSTEM EVERY TIME IT NEEDED IT. THE OWNER'S MANUAL DOESN'T CLEARLY EXPLAIN THE SYSTEM OR HOW TO ADJUST EVERYTHING THAT MIGHT NEED ADJUSTING. NEXT TIME A COMPONENT GOES OUT, I'M GOING TO BITE THE BULLET AND BUY A NEW SYSTEM FROM SOMEBODY ELSE.

THEY INSTALLED A WHOLE HOUSE WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR US. FIRST, THEY FAILED TO PULL THE NECESSARY PLUMBING PERMITS AND HAVE THE WORK INSPECTED AS REQUIRED BY PLUMBING CODE. SECOND, THEY LEFT OUR WATER SUPPLY HALFWAY CUT-OFF AFTER THEY COMPLETED THEIR WORK AND WE HAD TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH OUR WATER PRESSURE UNTIL WE REALIZED WHAT THEY DID. THIRD, A WATER FILTER THAT THEY INSTALLED IN OUR KITCHEN LEAKED IN OUR CABINETS AND ONTO OUR FLOOR AND DID $12,683.11 DAMAGE TO OUR HOUSE AND THEY REFUSED TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE OR PROVIDE US WITH THEIR INSURANCE INFORMATION. WE FOUGHT THEM FOR FIVE MONTHS AND FINALLY AFTER REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE NC PLUMBING LICENSING BOARD WE HAD TO TURN THE CLAIM OVER TO OUR HOME OWNERS INSURANCE TO SUBROGATE AND FINALLY GOT THEM TO PAY FOR OUR DEDUCTIBLE AND OUR HOME OWNERS INSURANCE HAD TO FIGHT FOR THE REST. THEY HAVE A VERY DECEPTIVE WAY OF DOING BUSINESS AND WE RECOMMEND YOU BE VERY CAREFUL AROUND THEM.
