C & C FENCING

Live and learn. Don't go cheap and get a reference! I saw that a neighbor had used C & C to put in a fence like the one I wanted. Estimate process went well - came in with about as much as I thought I wanted to spend. Seemed knowledgable. But then I found that you get what you paid for! Didn't show up on scheduled date. They didn't even put me on the schedule, so they didn't order the materials on time. When they did show up, they had the wrong size dog-ear. They weren't able to install the gates, so I had to wait several days for the final product. I don't want to deal with them again and I do not want them at my house. So I will not have them back to make any adjustments or repairs. Just want to warn any others about this experience.

PRICE WAS LOWEST OF 3 BIDS. WORK WAS TO BE FINISHED IN A DAY, BUT WAS NOT COMPLETED UNTIL 1 WEEK LATER. CREW WAS 3 DAYS LATE IN BEGINNING PROJECT AND DID NOT APPRISE US OF ANY SCHEDULE CHANGE. FOREMAN DID NOT SHOW UP WHEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. FAIRLY SATISFIED WITH WORK AFTER CREW RETURNED AND FINISHED OFF DETAIL WORK 5 DAYS AFTER THEY STARTED THE JOB. HOWEVER, ENDS OF WELDED WIRE LEFT UNTRIMMED AT A SEAM WHICH COULD POSE A HAZARD FOR NEIGHBOR CHILDREN; WE DECIDED TO TRIM THEM AND PLACE A COVER SHEET OVER THE SEAM OURSELVES WITHOUT ASKING C&C TO DO THIS, AS WE FELT THAT WE COULD DO A NEATER JOB.

THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK, EVER, AND IVE CALLED THEM MANY TIMES ATTEMPTING TO REACH THEM SO THEY COULD COME BACK OUT AND FINISH SOME THINGS. WHEN THEY DID ACTUALLY SHOW UP, THEY WERE LATE. HE MADE LOTS OF PROMISES AND STILL HASNT FOLLOWED THROUGH. SOME OF THE GATES DONT OPEN PROPERLY AND HE IS SUPPOSED TO COME BACK TO FIX IT AND HASNT.
