"Mrs. [Member Name Removed] purchased window treatments from Budget Blinds in 2011, at which time she was given a "5-year No Questions Asked Warranty" which covers the product for ANY damage, whether caused by the customer or due to defective product. A few years ago a few of the vertical blind slats broke (customer's fault) and because the damage happened during the initial 5 years we got the replacements for free. After the 5 year warranty is over our products are covered by a Lifetime Warranty which covers any defects in the product, but does NOT COVER DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE CUSTOMER. All of these warranties are clearly explained to each customer when product is sold. Last week she contacted me to repair 2 more damaged vertical slats (broken by customer) and I told her the charge was $69 ($39 service call and $30 for replacement parts) to do the work. She asked why the lifetime warranty did not apply and when I explained this to Mrs. [Member Name Removed] she began to call me names (unethical and petty). At that point I told Mrs. [Member Name Removed] that I could not help her and to find another company to do the repairs. She then sent me a very rude text and we have had no further contact. My customers over the past 15 years in business know that I honor my word and my warranties! However I will not tolerate rude and disrespectful behavior."
I think I interacted with one or two people, I don?t recall. I don?t remember how long it took, but between the measuring, the estimate and the installation, it was faster than you would normally think. They were able to make it happen fast for me, turned it area quick. The area was left clean. They met my time frame.
They were on time. The owner sent his son, who was a teenager, so he was very laid back. They left everything cleaned when they were finished. It took a couple of hours to install. I had to call them back to re-do the installation because the drapes were hanging too low causing them to wrinkle on the bottom.
