I wish there was an option to give zero or negative stars for this “business.” My mother needed trees removed from her house after the storm a few weeks ago, and against my request, she decided to go with someone from her church, Big Al’s. I actually thought he had his own tree removal service, but apparently he was serving as a middle man and subcontracted out the service. We absolutely didn’t need a middle man and I had already acquired 3 other quotes, but my mom somehow was convinced it was a good idea to go with her church member. The problem is he charged her over double the amount the subcontracted business charged to do the job. How do I know? Well the business he used had also sent me a quote for $3200 to do the exact job they were subcontracted by Big Al to do, in which Big Al charged my mom $7200. In addition, he charged my mom an additional $45 for his wife to write up the invoice (handwritten by the way) that had to be paid separately. Another red flag I warned my mom about. The invoice was written up incorrectly but unfortunately, my mom submitted before I could review it and get them to fix it. Overall, the communication, invoicing, essentially everything about this interaction was a complete disaster and extremely unprofessional. Very untrustworthy! The good thing is my mother learned a tremendous lesson that will prevent her from making a huge mistake like this again. Also, I believe his son was cutting her yard, but I’ll make sure that relationship ends as well. She’ll NEVER use his service again!

"In response to this review. It's a shame that this experience for us was so disgraceful. The mother was a church member that we took on the job because we though she was a women of integrity to find out that she and her daughter was trying to be fraudulent with the submission of the claim and use our company to commit this fraud. Because we thought they were Christian people and had the upmost integrity we financed the tree removal and after the claim was paid it took them an additional 5 weeks to pay. If we would not have started a small claim process they would have not paid. And as far as the invoicing it was upon her mother's request Ms Gordon, to help her file the claim with the insurance company, and there was not any errors on the claim form it was the fact of them wanting to make changes in order for them to get more money from the claim. They asked several times for us to make adjustments to our invoice. Because my wife would not make changes that would have been untruthful. Ms Angeline her daughter got upset. We ended the relationship due to the difficulties we experienced and how long it took for them to pay. This kind of client is not the type we want to perform services for."

Excellent, Mr. Al is dependable, professional, respectable and thoughtful. I am located in the same neighborhood that the previous person wrote the review. I am appalled at the fact of them writing what they did. Those individuals never keep their property in order, their lawn is not well kept. The client that was having his property maintained by Mr Al had informed hom it would be ok to dump the leaves that was between a fence line, that was his property. Therefore the leaves were not even a wheel barrel full and it was no where near the complaints property. And to include his son on this review is shameful. They harrassed Mr. Al and was running around the neighborhood taking unauthorized pictures of him and his son, which was very inappropriate. This was a racial profiling matter, purely not based on any facts. Its a shame that a honest hardworking person can be treated this was and a mean evil couple can write a bad review because they do not approve of the color of his skin.

Big Al and his assistant (son?) raked leaves and dumped them against our fence on our property. We saw it happen, and asked them to please stop doing that. A few minutes later they were dumping leaves against our next door neighbor's fence instead. We again asked them to stop. I took a picture of their truck (since I didn't know who they were, and Big Al chased me down the street. Besides being completely unprofessional, it is trespassing to dump yard waste of any kind in our yard.

"We did not perform any services for these individuals. We completed lawn care for an adjacent customer in which we had permission to dump the leaves in the back yard in which it was near the fence. These people are upset because their yard was messy and full of leaves anyway. They just didn't like the fact our customer maintains their yard and they do not."
