 + -1 moreTheir response time to alarms was unacceptable.
Description of Work: They were my alarm company and they took over a Legacy alarm account and in 2 years they raised my rates 20% twice with no improved service. They wanted me to sign a contract that locked me in with no benefit to me and only when I went to cancel my service did they want to change my monthly charge from $37 to $20.

 + -1 moreGreat until I had to move out of state. They have no clause for cancellation and so they charged me to cancel because I had not reached the end of the 3 year contract.
Description of Work: Installed security system in 2007 and monitored system for the duration.

 + -1 moreOn three occasions i've had to call ASG about alarms going off - each time i've been asked to call multiple numbers, and the employees didn't know how the system worked, didn't provide any assistance and even let me know it was late and they were sleeping when i called. The support has been extremely disappointing. ALSO - ASG is supposed to call when power is interrupted: this has occurred several times and every time i received the call 2-3 hours after the service interruption! Thank heavens there were no real problems!
Description of Work: ASG acquired the security company i had contracted with, and has provided security services to me for over a year. I have called ASG a few times when smoke alarm has gone off, and problems with my doors / windows required a service call.

 + -1 moreThe crew came on time installed the system, went over the operation. Very smooth.
Description of Work: I dealt with another company before it was acquired by ASG Security. They had a clear record with the BBB. The sales rep came on time and was less hard sell than helpful with designing a system. I really advise getting two remote controls with the alarm even if you have to sign a three year contract. They installed wireless contacts at doors and window. We added broke glass alarm and a remote key pad for the garage. The cost is about $34.00 per month.
