2014I wish I had been an Angie\'s List subscriber before I hired this guy.
I hired him to replace my roof, gutters and fix a water damaged ceiling in my laundry room. He wanted 1/2 the money up front for materials. I found out later that he and his partner were the only company employees and he is just a middleman. His subcontracted roofing crew showed up on time, but were intoxicated and profane. They dropped a square of shingles on my outdoor lighting, which subsequently shorted and caught fire later that night while we were out to dinner. The fire was in the flower bed adjacent to the house and damaged the stone exterior of the house. The gutters they installed did not include all of the down spouts that were originally part of the gutter system and that has caused drainage problems since they were installed.
They charged and supposedly removed all of my old shingles and replaced damaged roofing boards, but it turns out they did not remove and/or repair all of the areas the billed us for. One of the areas where they just placed new shingles over the old shingles was over the laundry room wher the old roof had leaded. I paid extra to have the ceiling replaced and to put new decking on the roof above . This area had leaked before and was the reason we had the roof replaced.
The ceiling in my laundry just collapsed from water damage I had a reliable carpenter/contractor come out and remove the ceiling and find the leak. He said the roof was leaking due to poor workmanship because the old roofing plywood and shingles were still there and had only been covered up with new shingles..
When I called Andrew to come look at the ceiling/roof he failed to show up the first time. I called him again and he said he was busy and would come out two days later. Again, he did not show up nor call. Since then, he has refused to return any of our calls or messages and does not answer his phone. THIS GUY DOES PROVIDE QUALITY WORK, DOES NOT WARRANTY HIS WORK AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED!!!! HIGH PRICE AND POOR QUALITY.
