Woke up Thanksgiving morning to a flooded garage, the water heater was pouring water from the bottom of the unit. Knowing we wouldn't find anyone that morning we shut everything off and called several plumbers the next day trying to find someone to replace the water heater. One Angies list plumber never showed up and the other didn't return my call or e-mails.
I actually found AMP in the phone book and looked them up on Angie's list. They only had one rating from a year ago but when I called he came out within the hour with a new water heater. He installed the water heater, an expansion tank and a pressure reducing valve on our main water inlet. Our water pressure was set too high and he was surprised that we had not had trouble before. (This would explain the multiple problems we have had with our toilets).
Within 30 minutes of the install we had hot water agian. Yeah, finally a shower after 3 days!
I definitely recommend this company and will use them again.

My husband called on 1/25/11, spoke with Mike Foy.and told him he had a specific water heater in mind.  Mike said he needed to come out to look at the space in our laundry room to make sure that specific water heater would fit..  He arrived the same afternoon, and determined that the water heater my husband wanted was too large for the space in our laundry room.  He helped my husband select an acceptable alternative.   The two of them discussed the additional work involved with the water heater and the whole house cut off valve that we had been meaning to replace for years.  Having talked with several other contractors who merely quoted a price over the phone, we would have had a tremendous problem if any of them arrived with a water heater that wouldn't fit in our laundry room. 
Mike's price quote was very reasonable for the amount of work to be completed.
The work was scheduled for the following week.   It took two separate days to complete the entire job.  The quality of Mike's work was excellent, and he was both  professional and  friendly.
We would definitely call him again, should we need electrical/plumbing work done.

CALLED AMP ON A FRIDAY MORNING, AND HE PERFORMED THE WORK THE NEXT DAY, SATURDAY AM. WAS ON TIME, VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL, DID ALL THE WORK HE WAS SUPPOSED TO, CLEANED UP AND WAS FINISHED WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD BE. VERY COURTEOUS, PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

THEY CAME WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF ME CALLING, ON A SUNDAY. THAT WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE AND THEY DID GOOD WORK.
