Ammons Superior Plumbing Inc

The work went very well. It was completed in one day. The owner, Scott Ammons, came to the house to check on the status of the job, and to introduce himself. His workers were very good, calmly went about the work with a good attitude, professionally, which gave me a sense of security with the work. Once the job was done, the dirt was replaced over the hole, and Mr. Ammons had seed and straw placed over the dug out area. Mr. Ammons had to call the City, when the digging began, because whomever came out to mark the ground to show the wires and lines, did not mark the cable and phone wires, so they were cut. I was not able to work from 11 a.m. that day until 1 p.m. the next day, but Mr. Ammons and his assistant stayed on it for me. I received texts from Spectrum regarding their expected arrival. (It turns out that I had 3 seperate lines in my yard, and none appeared on the City's records. The house is 26 years old.) Mr. Ammons came the day after the project was completed, to provide me with the receipt, which I paid and signed. He noticed that there were clods of dirt at the top of the yard, and he told meto call the office and have them send one of the men to break that up and apply more seed and straw, which I did, and it was done that day -- the day after the job was completed. I would recommend them based on this job.

My appt complex contracted them out. Not only did they leave a giant hole in the wall without any sort of covering, they didn't clean up and left literal shit every (second time) and sheet rock dust(second time). They also decided to raid my refrigerator and go through my stuff. DO NOT use this company for any reason. This is the second time I've had this problem and I'm livid. Company shouldn't even be operating. If complex uses this company again, I'm breaking my lease, this is ridiculous. Don't want them stepping another foot in my living space. Completely unacceptable

they came in on time and made very little of a mess..... . They were very professional and friendly. They worked a whole day to try to fix the leak by ram jacking the concrete slab.... but to no avail. They came back the second day and called in a couple of others to help determine the best course of action. Two additional workers arrived so they could get the job done with in that day.

I did have to call them back as the outside faucet did not work after they left. They were ready to come when I called at 8;30PM that night but I told them the next day , a Saturday was OK. They were there promptly at 8 Am the next morning and fixed everything.

I have used them before and I would use them again,,,,,,,,,,,Scott the owner seems to have a reliable crew.

I received multiple bids, they were the best price! They were very personable, they were ready to work the very next day. They had to dig 6' down to find the pipe, that wasn't even a used pipe, but it was leaking and making my water bill high. They were creative by drawing a new line under the concrete driveway without having to bust the concrete. They cleaned up after themselves great and they did a great job. I am using for my next project as well.

The Ammons representative installed the toliet using two seperate wax rings to balance the toilet as the flange was below the floor. We questioned this approach and the representative stated this was a common practice of his. We accepted the response and paid for his services.
Several months later, the toilet was backing up and fluid was leaking from the base of the toilet. We contacted Ammons and requested an appointment with a sense of urgency. We did not receive a follow up call. Two previous work orders with Ammons produced service level issues which prompted the owner to state we should call him directly anytime we had an issue. So we contacted him directly on his cell phone and either left messages or spoke directly with him (several calls). In each case when we spoke directly to him, he asked if he could call back with assurances it would be the same day. He never returned the calls prompting us to contact him each of the following days. When it became clear we would not receive reasonable attention to the matter, we located a second Angie's List recommended plumber who came out the same day and fixed the problem citing the toilet was not installed properly which led to the leaks and back up. We inquired with neighbors and friends and found those that had used Ammons had experienced service issues.
We contacted Ammons directly and told the owner we had the problem fixed by another plumber, he apologized profusely asking what he could do to rectify Ammons inability to address another mistep in service. We stated it would be appropriate to refund the expense of the original installation handled by Ammons. He agreed and committed to mailing the check to us (local address) by Monday, December 23rd. The check never arrived. Considering the amount of effort required to follow up with Ammons not only regarding this matter but previous projects, we engaged the State's Attorney who agreed we had just cause to pursue resolution. Ammon's eventually responded and stated they would not agree to refund the amount requested or any amount contradictory to the owner's original commitment. The State's Attorney has advised us of next logical steps. However, this is not about the money. This is about sending a strong message out to others making decisions that the buyer beware. What orginally appeared to be a case of continual incompetence in customer service from poor quality workmanship to not returning calls has clearly become a case of outright deceitful business practices. The owner agreed to resolve yet another case of poor service and then reneged on his word. We have only had one other experience where we publicly denounced another business due to poor service and we prefer not to, however we felt future customers needed to be made aware of our bad experiences with Ammons before making an important decision.

We were having a problem with our kitchen faucet leaking. They came and assessed the problem. We had to wait a few days for the part to come in. In the meantime, the plumber discovered that our water pressure was too high. I decided to have that repaired as well. When the part came in the plumber realized that it would not fix our problem and we would need a new faucet. He returned, once again, to install the new faucet and fix the water pressure. I was very happy with the work provided and everyone I dealt with at the company was really friendly and accommodating. We will definitely use them again for any plumbing needs.

They were readily available. The technician was well-educated in his profession and was very friendly. I wasn't that happy about the cost that they gave me for the future work, but I was very happy with the work he did that day.

The technicians at Ammons were very knowledgeable of plumbing in residential/ service calls. They were able to answer all of my questions from start to finish. Ammons also has a full staff office available for scheduling questions. They explained everything so clearly!

First house the service was great......second house, well, he should have stayed home from that one! A bit hasty with the decision which ended up costing us more than necessary in the end.

Ammons always was very reliable in showing up to do their work on the day that the general contractor assigned them to be on site. Work was completed on time. Unfortunately we experienced leaks on much of the work that was done, and Ammons had to be re-called to correct the problems. One such leak was discovered that created significant damage to a downstairs ceiling. In each case Ammons returned to the job immediately to correct these issues once they surfaced.

It has been very helpful to find a good plumber. They came out when there was a leak in the gasket. He came back when the toilet was leaking. He came back and fixed it, even though it wasn't their fault. The last guy that came was excellent. He even showed us what to do so that we don't have to call them.

Larry did an excellent job. Unfortunately, when he tried to remove one old sink, it caused the old laminate material to pop off its substrate. It was a tough job getting the old sink out of its spot. He tried hard to save the laminate. The sink was really stuck to the laminate but the laminate wasn't stuck at all to its substrate. Larry came back to finish the job after we had the counter top re-laminated. Larry was very easy to work with.

We originally found Ammons in the phone book by pure chance, but after their first service call, we would never use another plumbing service. Their servicemen are extremely professional and friendly, they have some of the best prices in town and will not try and gouge you, in fact, I've had their servicemen try and SAVE me money on most of their service calls by offering alternative ways to fix the issue, or just taking the time to explain how I could do it myself. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable plumber.

Faucet was replaced and new one works great.

We were very pleased with the representatives we talked to on the phone, as well as the technician who came to do the work. Cost of the job seemed comparable to other companies of their size, and much cheaper than the companies advertised on the radio. We had to cancel our appointment, but midway through the afternoon realized we could be home for them. They found a way to work around their schedule and fit us in. Overall this company was on time, accommodating, honest and courteous, and we will use them again.

Good; told me to do only what I needed to do; reasonable price; a little late coming but called ahead to say was coming later.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB ON EVERYTHING! PRICE WAS REASONABLE FOR THE AMOUNT OF TIME THEY SPENT. THEY ALSO HAD TO STRAIGHTEN THE BACK OF THE TOILET.

GREAT!!!! THIS COMPANY IS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, DEPENDABLE AND FAST. THEY ALWAYS CAME THE DAY WE CALLED. THE PLUMBER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND COST EFFECTIVE. IF THERE WAS SOMETHING I COULD DO MYSELF, HE WOULD TELL ME IN ORDER TO SAVE US SOME MONEY. HE ALWAYS GAVE US A FAIR PRICE. WILL USE THIS COMPANY IN THE FUTURE!!
