My complaint is more against a specific Realtor/Broker associated with the Allen Tate, University Office~
I have purchased several homes in my life and this experience was by far the worse one I've ever encountered. After having experienced the unethical behavior of the realtor/broker - Ms. Latham, and informing the leader at Allen Tate, John Kindbom, that I refused to work with her any more - they both . He proceeded to make much effort to help me, but she continued to do things that were unethical - and John didn't seem to have the authority to stop her.. I don't know what happened in their office behind closed doors.
Ms. Latham refused to show me anything that she could not easily resell later. I asked for comparisons on two properties, one that was $20,000 less - and instead of giving me the comparisons she submitted a contract without my approval on the more expensive house. She contacted my mortgage company after I was done working with her and told them I was closing on a house that I no longer had a contract on!
I would never use or recommend Ms. Latham ever again - and she is on the Board of Realtors, that doesn't give me much hope for the ethics in that field. And I'm leary of Allen Tate Realty to say the least because they are not stopping her from doing such.
