Affordable Siding & Windows

Ritchie and his ream were a pleasure to work with. They installed a front door and window replacement package for us and we could not be happier with the results. His team of Mike, Scotty and a young man (can’t remember his name) were great. They did an awesome job.

This company did a hard sale on their quote where they would increase the price if we were to wait for another quote to be completed that we had already scheduled later that week. That should have been a giant red flag, but a neighbor had used this company previously which lead me to accept their proposal, albeit hesitantly. Had it not been for that neighbor’s recommendation, I would have certainly declined as I typically will get at least 2-3 quotes and loath pressure sales tactics. We were quoted a price to replace approximately 60 boards. We were also told that they would probably be able to squeeze our siding repair job into the schedule in a few weeks. Less than a week later they were able to come out to do the work; however, upon completion there were only about 55 fractional pieces (like the 1-2 foot sections around some doors and windows) that were replaced. After inquiring about the discrepancy, them checking the dumpster for material waste and old siding debris, their crews trailer for excess materials (that were delivered and then taken away upon completion), and assessing the newly replaced boards on my house, they agreed that it didn’t add up and knocked 10% off the remaining balance. I could argue that it should have been more, but this overall project has left me feeling like we were shortchanged or overcharged. On the positive side, the crew presented themselves professionally, and the company did provide both a port-a-potty and a dumpster for use during the project. Bottomline, if you decide to have this company come out to do a quote for you, make sure they are your last call, because they will put you on the spot to commit or raise the price if you want to ‘think’ about it.

very good...one mix up with three windows, but affordable installed comp windows until correct ones came in. Additionally we contracted them for gutters after the job they did with the windows and door.

Windows installed in 2006 and we have had two windows needing to be pulled out and water damage removed. An honest service provider who is listed on Angie's list with an A repaired both window damages 2 years apart and noticed that the original window frames were removed in order to fit the windows AS&W put in. This created channels in our vinyl siding for water to move inside the walls of our home.  Prior to the windows 2004, AS&W installed a replacement door for our home which also was not a proper fit and we have since had issues repairing water damage and transom window replacement whereas we went over 7 months waiting on excuses from Richie on why the window was not ready, special made? Prioritizing customers . I would not recommend working with this company. 

The owner of the company Richard came out to give me a quote for $4700.00 I told him that I was going to compare his company with others. He told me if I don't go ahead and make a deal with him right now the price was going to go up. We feel that we were pushed into the deal. The gentleman said he would have the project done by July 1 and it was not done until the 2nd and we ended up having to pay the more expensive price.  They kept calling and canceling on me. When he finally got there June 28th at 10;30 am to do the job, he only worked an hour and then left for a 1 1/2 hour lunch. The project kept getting delayed by unexpected incidentals and did not finish until July 2nd. When he finished the siding, it had some bubbles in it and some of the edges were worped. I called him to come out and fix it but he blamed the painters for the imperfections. He also got very defensive and rude. However he did come out after the painters were done and fixed the worped  siding and bubbles. The siding looks good now, but I would not use this company again.

Excellent work, very professional, very timely, first class job all around.

I used a company called Affordable Siding & Windows. Everything turned out very well. We went through Angie's List. He was excellent. Brandon was very nice, very professional. His crew was professional. They were here on time and they completed it on time and very cost effective. I would give them complete 'A's, all 'A's throughout the grading scale. I have recommended them to my neighbor.

The price quoted was also better than the insurance estimate and another vendor.    They started installing the wrong soffit but agreed to replace it with the right soffit.  They did a great job.

Richard came and did a consultation with us and was very professional and showed a good product. E2 glass and Wincore 7700 series . We ordered 28 windows. When the windows came in they promptly installed  all windows within 4 days and we had good weather. The entire crew was great and I would buy from them again. Compared to other windows companies in the area, they had a really good price and product.

Very helpful.  Came out to my house and gave a explanation and demonstration of windows.  Then scheduled an install time.  Were great at answering questions before, during, and after install.  Had a question a couple of months after they completed the job about installing blinds on the windows.  A person from the company dropped by and gave the right advice.  Very helpful.

It went very well great communication, description of what was to be done, and when. Fair and honest pricing. The work was done and completed and everything was removed. Great friendly service , right down to a thank you note. I would recomend and use them again

Our home was in need of updating and some repair work had to be done to the exterior because our siding was too far gone.  Did a good bit of research on siding, windows and door companies in the area and we decided to use Affordable Siding and Windows.   We actually started the process by visiting their showroom in Charlotte and then scheduled for Richard to come out to our house after visiting with him there and looking at options.
Overall we have no complaints.  The quality of work is exceptional!   Richard walked us through many options on how to spruce up the look of the exterior of our home -- but to also get it to the point that it was maintenance free going forward.  Our home looks like a new house today!!
Affordable delivered exactly what we agreed upon and performed the work in a timely fashion as well.  There were a lot of rainy days while we were trying to complete the work, but they kept us informed as to the status and how the weather was effecting the completion of the work.  Their crews were professional and left our home and yard in good shape after the work was completed.

The workmanship was wonderful. The price was decent. I would recommend them to anyone. I dealt with Richey and he was great. He was the coordinator and the salesmen.

It went great. Everything is terrific. They did their job and they did it well. They did a great cleanup. The pricing was good. We had scheduled several companies to come out. Affordable Siding came and sat and talked for about two hours and after he gave us the estimate, we continued the conversation and we liked him so well, we canceled everybody else. We didn't give anybody else a chance.

Put headers above our windows. They did an excellent job. We love it. It really made our house look so much better. We could not find anyone else who would tackle our problems. We would definitely use them again. We had some problems with the gutters and they came back and fixed the problem.

The siding installation part went OK. They were not prepared with the appropriate materials to install our window as the manufacturer specified, i.e. moisture barrier around rough opening, tape to go over the flange. I was a little disappointed that more care did not go into this step as it was thoroughly discussed ahead of time and I put a lot of thought ordering a window that fit exactly into this opening.  If the window is defective, the manufacturer will not honor the warranty on a window installed not exactly like the specs provided. I am holding out hope that the unit does not leak. Other than that, the crew was great and friendly. The siding looks nice and they cleaned up the site very well.

I submittted an on-line inquiry thru their website and Richard Caldwell called me within literally minutes and asked if he could visit in the next few days. He explained the roof and siding process and time frame and after spending a few hours with him it was like we had known him for years! He was very honest and upfront about everything. We immediately felt that we had made the correct choice selecting Affordable for our home improvements. 
 The new roof was installed first.. Their roofing Manager, Randall, called me, gave me his cell phone number, explained the process his crew would follow and told me to call him for any problem. The roofing crew arrived on time, started work and the job was completed in less than 2 days.. This includes removal of the old shingles, a few minor roof repairs, and installation of beautiful 30 year shingles. The Quality of the shingles and felt are such that we can hardly hear the sound of rain hitting the roof! The roofing job is Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. The grounds were immaculate when they left and every member of the roofing crew thanked  us for our business at least twice! THEY ARE VERY PROUD OF THEIR COMPANY AND THEIR CRAFTSMANSHIP!
The siding crew arrived a few weeks later and went to work. Ben and his crew immediately gave us an overview of their plan for our home, asked us if we had any questions, and Ben gave me his cell phone number for any questions. We got to know Ben and we felt very comfortable that he was a Quality person and Perfectionist - exactly what we wanted for our home. The change in the look of our house started  at Day 2 of the installation process. We were very comfortable with the communication from Ben and his crew, and their work ethic. We left town for a few days and Ben picked up our newspaper and mail for us while we gone! Just like a neighbor would! And speaking of neighbors, they drive past our home and slow down to gaze....or walk past and stop to chat....they are all very impressed with the new look. and again, I could not findl 1 area that I wanted Ben to change prior to being finished.This job was also Perfect, Perfect, Perfect.  And in both the roof and siding projects, you dont pay until the job is complete and you are satisfied.. I have a very particular relative in the construction business whose opinion I value and he said it was the best siding job he has ever seen. The quality of the premium insulated siding is second to none. I find myself looking at other homes with vinyl siding and realizing we made the best choice with Affordable. And we did shop around.
Do not make a decision to use a home improvement company until you speak with Rich or Richie and visit a worksite and see their workmanship. They do treat your home and your family like its their home and their family.

Josh came to my home promptly, was dressed respectably. Josh was very knowledgable with respect to Affordable windows and siding. I placed the order for windows that day. I like the fact that it is a family owned business and that their employees have been with them for years. When they showed up to measure for ( I cant remember his name) he was also very prompt and respectful. When the crew showed up for installation they were also on time and respectful of my home and property. Anytime I had a question they had the answer. I will definately use Affordable Windows and Siding when we are ready to put siding on our home.

Affordable Siding & Windows did a very good job, they were nice and polite, they fit my schedule because we were doing a kitchen remodel and they were just super. Their pricing was better than most. We will use them in the future, we have their name down for a window remodel that we will do in the future.
