If you want to set up a system with an experienced sales person and have the installer come in and take care of what you had discussed RUN  TO ANOTHER COMPANY.
AT ADT, they send an 18 year vet to sell you a system.  He will try to add on a few things then CONVENIENTLY miss some very important things.
The whole SCAM is the installer comes in and he finds you need many more items to add on to make your system complete, "I can't use these smoke detectors" you need to pay $300 and $10 more a month to cover smoke (salesman never mentions), "what if they cut your phone line" $150 for cell back up and another $10 a month.  But they will work with you because they "feel bad" when they call the manager and work you out a good deal that still costs $100's of dollars.  Then they take out your hard wired equipment and add cheap battery powered.   
You should have a piece of mind when you add on a security system to you

We got rid of them. We let them go. Their professionalism was ok because it was installed when we built the house. I never saw them. I had false alarm calls and stuff like that. Their security response should be excellent.

It has gone very well. They are reliable.

I didn't have a contract with them and I saw on television it was about $30 and they wouldn't honor that for me so I discontinued the service.

I have used them since we bought our home, and we have them in all our homes except one in South Carolina. They are excellent. What stands out is their reliability to get back to the staff if something is going on in the house that they are unsure of. It is really quick.

Sales rep came out right away.  Installation three days later.  All on time and very professional.  no cost for equipment or installation.  Certain organization memberships gave us lower monthly fee, too.  Very happy with the entire process.

The worst service customer service i have ever encountered. I received five different answers about the same inquiry (how to remotely disarm the service). Finally after being promised that the last described approach would work the system failed to disarm and caused a significant disruption to us on vacation and inconvenience to prospective buyers of our home. We are canceling our service and advise that no one use ADT.

I've been happy with them.

We are very pleased with ADT Monitored Home Security Systems' service. Their price were reasonable than others. It was all good. They were responsive to our particular needs.

They were prompt. The guy that came out to do the service was extremely nice. There was a misunderstanding when he was getting ready to leave and wanted me sign stuff. He stayed until it was resolved. He never got impatient and he actually hung up something for me. He did not have to do that, but he did. He was super nice and I liked everything about him. It turned out that the mistake was my mistake. He was excellent at explaining the system and all of that stuff.

It was a frustrating, expensive and wasteful use of resources.

I dislike their services and their responsiveness. I had an appointment set up for last Friday and nobody showed up and I had to wait three weeks for that appointment because I wanted to up my security around the house and buy additional stuff and I had to wait three weeks. They never call. They never showed up. Nothing I heard. So, when I called on Monday to report to it, they were very sorry and et cetera. They said "We'll make it up to you." and then they transferred me to their scheduling department in Jacksonville and I got an appointment in another three weeks. So, obviously that is unacceptable to me.

I chose ADT because of their name recognition. The system works and it seems to be a good system.

The service was okay but the cancellation process was horrifying. I am in the military and when I move the contract becomes null and void in cases of specific contracts. You are supposed to ask for orders and a letter of cancellation but it took 3 months and at least five telephone calls of them to tell it was done each time and it wasn't the next time before I got the mirror removed and $ 800 bill.
I will not use ADT Monitored Home Security Systems in the future.

We haven't had much to do with them, which is a good thing. We've been using them for 2 1/2 years. We hardly ever put the alarm on. Our dog barked so loud that he set the glass shatter alarm off. They called right away and they sent somebody out to look at the windows but I wasn't home. The alarm system was put in by the previous owner so we kept it up.

They're a good company...I would recommend them.

It was a good price when I got their service. 

The local police don't get here as fast as they should.  The response from ADT is very fast.

They had a wireless alarm system that did not need a landline phone. They also had a special going on. It was smooth and easy to get it installed. So far, everything has been fine.

I'm still finding pieces of wiring around the house. The company had to return once because there was a large amount of static on the phone line, and they left a tool hanging from the ceiling. However, the installers were very kind, and the system works fine now.

Everything went well. There was one minor gliche. After the company left, I noticed that our home telephone system would only ring once when someone called. I called out our cable company to check this out and they diagnosed everything. We couldn't find a problem with the phone system. Once the cable company left, I called the security company and they said when you use their system with a digital phone system, there is sometimes a minor gliche. They said they would send us an electronic patch to take care of this gliche. 30 minutes later after we received this patch, everything was up and running. My only problem was that the company didn't give us the patch right away, but then again, maybe it is needed sometimes and not needed other times.

I don't remember the price. What stands out is that I can't remember anything negative about it. They came in, put it all in, and did what they said they were going to do. It seemed to be reasonable. I don't recall any problems. It was done fairly quickly. A couple of months later one of the components wasn't working right. I called them and they came out promptly and fixed it with no issues. They were professional. They have changed their name now to Broadview or something.
