"Mr. [removed member name]thank you from the Adams team for the review! We appreciate your business, and look forward to providing the best service in Charlotte for you."
Adams failed to purchase the warranty and left the customer to seek other remedies. I believe the company walked away from the guarantee noted in the purchase agreement. They were also very slow to respond to phone calls and never responded in writing to the complaint. At a minimum, I would advise anyone doing business with this company to obtain a copy of the manufacturer's warranty for any unit purchased from Adams.
Based on my experience, I would not use the company again nor recommend them.
"We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the experience you had after contacting our office 9.5 years after we installed a system for you at the property you manage. Here at ADAMS, we do pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, installing top of the line equipment and hiring highly trained installers and technicians. We would like to clarify the details of your review since they come across somewhat misleading. You did in fact purchase a system from us over 9 years ago. We never heard from you after the install, even after reaching out with service agreement notices and reminders. Which as you know, yearly maintenance is a crucial part in extending the life of a system. The system you purchased came with the following warranty – 10 year on the compressor, 5 year on parts, and 1 year on ADAMS labor. You had the opportunity to purchase a manufacturer extended labor warranty through Trane at the time of the original purchase, but you opted not to do so. 9.5 years later…you call us and question your warranty terms which are on the original contract which you signed. After speaking with you multiple times to clarify the warranty status of the equipment that was in question, you then send us a certified letter demanding that we pay $1,900 within 3 days or you threatened legal recourse … for a compressor replacement that a DIFFERENT heating & air company already performed for you. We understand your frustration in a sense, since the compressor itself was still under MANUFACTURERS warranty. Had you given us a call, we would have taken care of the compressor (which was under warranty through TRANE) and you would have only had to pay for labor. Unfortunately, you never gave us the opportunity to come out and provide you with a quote for the repair. As mentioned earlier, you had already completed the job with a different company. We understand your frustration. We recommend that you reach out to the company that did in fact replace the compressor for you. It sounds like you should question them as to why they didn’t do their due diligence to determine if the compressor was still under warranty or not. We do apologize for the position you may be in – at this point in time we cannot provide additional services, since the compressor replacement was already completed. We do wish you the best in getting refunded by the other company. Thank you very much for the review –we do appreciate it as we are always trying to improve and strive to be a better company. Best, The ADAMS Team"
We feel confident that our systems are well maintained with this company.
Decided to change the Thermostat at no additional cost to be sure to prevent any future problems.
After two days we realized the house was getting dry, we called the office and today Friday a new technician came and realized that the very busy guys had forgotten to set up humidifier. He did, and we are set and happy.
We have used them before: Many years ago Duke Power convinced us to have the under house pipes of our system to be checked at no cost. We did. A young guy was sent by Duke Power and decided that all our pipes were disconnected and needed to be changed!!! We contacted Adams. An engeneer came, went into the crawled space, checked every thing. Our system was in perfect shape, nothing needed to be done.We asked how much we owed him: Nothing he said. We have used them since
All handled with professionalism, but they don't get an A because we had several hot nights with a brand new AC.
