Dear Acosta, I am one of your priority customers as I pay for the bi-annual maintenance. I have called multiple times over the past couple of months and have been promised information and a visit by a supervisor to fix an issue that has been ongoing for years. I do not know what I need to do to get a phone call returned. I do not understand what I am paying for if I am getting ignored. It would appear that I am just flushing money down the toilet. I have called, emailed and sent a notification through your websiute. Maybe you will respond now that my request is in the form of a review? Thanks, Priority Customer being ignored (but still getting charged)

I selected Acosta for a quote due to Angie's List and manufacturer's ratings, The Acosta scheduling representative indicated this process would take about 90 minutes, and I would receive quotes the same day. When the individual arrived on Friday afternoon, he came without a ladder to access my attic, and had to borrow mine to do his job. When finished looking at my current system he could not use the computer well enough to complete the quotes. After spending almost 2 hours just evaluating my existing equipment he asked if he could come back on Sunday afternoon to finish the process because he needed to stop off at another customer's house before 5:30 to top off the system so they would have cold air. While at my home he talked more about the BBQ he was planning on cooking that evening, than he did about what I needed in a new system. There was a total lack of professionalism on his part. He left dirty hand-prints all over the access door to my attic. He did come back on Sunday afternoon with a quote, but it did not contain everything I requested. It was the following Tuesday before I received the final quotes. Another individual called as a followup later in the week and ask me to rate their service on a scale of 1 to 10. He laughed at me when I rated his representative a 2. He asked why and explained what had occurred. He never apologized for the poor service. I contacted seven companies for quotes on a two-system replacement. All but Acosta performed admirably except Acosta. They were punctual and provided all the quotes I request prior to leaving my house. They were also careful to prevent stains to the carpet or attic access. One even cleaned the mess the Acosta rep had left on the attic access. I am surprised and appalled by the service I received from these two representatives of Acosta. The pictures show how the attic access was left.

HORRIBLE!!!!! They installed a unit that I paid 4500 for and a couple years later to find out they installed it incorrectly and it has been giving me issues with my air for these past 2 years. I’ve paid other people that showed they installed incorrectly and now they will not take responsibility for it. They wanted me to pay a “service call fee “ for them to come out to see THEIR mistake! After giving them a chance to fix it and spoke to the “manager” she laughed at me on the phone and said they won’t come out until I pay. This company is a rip off! I have pictures of what they did and because if their carelessness my unit is rusting. I had professionals confirm they are not doing their work!!!!! This is a scam!

"We did install an A/C for Mrs. [Member Name Removed] in July of 2015. We have not been the residence in three years so as is customary our Customer Service Reps informed Mrs. [Member Name Removed] that there would be a $99 diagnostic fee. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] did not agree to the fee so we did not schedule an appointment. At a later [Member Information Removed] Mrs. [Member Name Removed] called back stating that another company had identified that we were the cause of the issues she was experiencing. Our Customer Service Reps then informed Mrs. [Member Name Removed] that if she could send us the estimate or invoice or pictures to service"at"acostainc.com we could provide a Free Second Opinion. Up to this [Member Information Removed] we have not received anything from Mrs. [Member Name Removed]. We are more than happy to help there just would be a diagnostic to have a technician to come out or we can provide a free second opinion once we receive the invoice or estimate from the other company that identified the issue."

Our new HVAC system was installed 12/20/2017. Our comfort level has decreased: We turn our heating down by 7 degrees F at night, but on cold nights the system takes over 4 hours to get back to the set daytime temperature. Acosta says we must not turn the heating down by more than 4 degrees. So we now have to choose between being too warm at night or cold in the morning. Supposed, this is because the unit is so efficient and not over-sized. It is too early to say if the higher efficiency shows up in substantial savings. The installers were on time and courteous. They did, however, leave the work area dirty, with left-over food and drink, and our garden tools strewn about. The crews explanation of the controls and electronic thermostat was rushed (after 6 pm) and inadequate.

"Upon re-inspection of the new system on 1/10/2018 we found a window open in that area of the home making that area of the home colder and unit having long run times to satisfy thermostat. The buzzing noise complaint was not the HVAC system but the doorbell transformer. The customer has a communicating thermostat that will send diagnostics to Lennox and us, but the customer refused to have thermostat connected to the internet so some of the features of the unit are not been taken by the customer."

It went very well. I had spoken to several contractors, including one that chose to bash other contractors. Acosta was always very professional and the price was equivalent or better than the others. The sales rep let me change my mind a few times and patiently worked with me. I also found out that they have a contractual relationship with Costco. So as a Costco member, I got good discounts and the assurance that they stood behind the work of Acosta. The day of the install they had 2 crews present. There was an initial mix up about equipment, but they were prepared to give me an even better deal if they could not sort out the problem. Turned out to be a non-issue after all. It was a long hot day (August), but they got the work done in the one day. Finally, they handled my Duke and Piedmont rebates directly and set up my inspection with a set day and small time window. I couldn't be happier.

he found the problem in no time but of course it took a little while to fix it. so many wires to go through and replacing the part was a pain in itself. i was very happy with this technicians work and attitude. very happy with Acosta heating and Air. nobody else will touch this unit except them.

Greg was excellent, where other companies told us we needed to replace our units, he told us that we had 8 to 10 years of life left in our heating unit. He said it was in excellent condition and should not have to worry about it. Our A/C was nearing the end of it life, explained in detail how the A/C worked, the type of unit he recommended. It was so refreshing to hear a repair say that our heating system did not need to replace, so instead of selling us something he saved us lots of money. We plan to us Acosta Heating & A/C in the future, as I found out that their repair people do not work on commission where most our companies do.

AWESOME! In addition to checking out our heating systems, Taylor, the tech, noted a leak while he was under the house! We never would have known about it. Luckily, we were able to head off a MAJOR problem thanks to Taylor and his attention to ALL details of our home! My AC died on a 90 degree Friday night (as they like to do). I called my previous small firm for help and discovered they'd been purchased by a MaJor company. I got a quote from them but didn't really like the vibe or the cost. I called Acosta and was WOWED at every turn. Insanely fast call back, available within hours to do the work, and extremely professional. The technician - Taylor - was super, super, super polite and helpful. I was so happy with him I initiated the topic of regular service and their cost was 27% lower than the first company that had gobbled up my old go to. succinctly I'd say Acosta has big company resources and expertise with a small company feel. I'm their happiest new customer!

Excellent! Taylor was here early (and Acosta had called me to let me know he'd be here early if I was going to be available, which I was). Taylor was extremely professional and personable. It was a pleasure to meet him. He came across as extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner...in terms I clearly understood. He gave each unit (upstairs and downstairs) a thorough check up and told me exactly what I had...and what I needed to look out for. His explanation gave me total peace of mind about the systems. He answered every question I had and I was totally satisfied with everything. If any issues were to ever arise with the units, I would not hesitate to call Acosta and ask for Taylor. Just a fine young man.

The technician was friendly, and seemed genuine, but made some pretty big errors when evaluating and tuning up the AC. Used a chemical on the coils that stripped the manufactures paint off. Was told my system, and return lines were insufficient and sized to small (8'' return, a 10'' and a 12'' supply line) when I actually have 10' return and two 16'' supply lines. Also bad capacitor, and txv were sited in the report. Had to pay the contractor/builder come out to investigate as the home is only a few years old. All Acosta claims were found not to be true, and they actually found another problem that was missed. So in short, I do not recommend.
