It started off well, but the quality deteriorated over the years. Things took a turn for the worse when the owner decided to ignore CDC guidelines and declare the establishment mask free. The sign on the door says, do not enter if you feel unsafe. Creates unsafe environment. Tells customers to not enter if they do not feel safe. Complains when customers use this as a reason to terminate their contract. Not recommended.

Dr. Mike helped our much loved 18 yr old cat Brisco peacefully and gently cross the rainbow bridge. He was knowledgeable, kind and caring. We were so grateful for the home visit to make things comfortable and stress free for him. We highly recommend Dr. Mike.

I want to share a situation that just happened with my (now former) vet, Dr. Michael Thomann at AAA Vet on Park Road in Charlotte, NC. I got my rescue dog in March, right before the stay at home order began. We just completed his first 6 months of medication, so he needed a refill of heart worm pills and flea and tick and tick treatment. I called to see if I could order it and they advised me to come in. Yesterday, we did just that. The other 3 customers and I had on our masks, but the 4 employees I saw didn’t have a mask in sight. My mom, who also goes there, has an appointment tomorrow and is in the “high risk” category. I called to let her know what to be prepared for. She called them to ask why they weren’t wearing masks, and the answer she got from their front desk lady was “I don’t know what to say... we just don’t”. I’m required to wear my mask while I work my full 8 hour shift. So are my coworkers, fast food workers, grocery store employees and absolutely everyone I’ve come in contact with at a place of business in North Carolina since this mandate started. I voiced my concerns in the survey that was linked to my emailed receipt and got a very short, snappy and, what I feel is an inappropriate an incredibly unprofessional response. I’m adding pictures of my survey response, his reaction to me and also the other item mentioned in my survey, my dogs “blood and guts” poop that he dismissed as nothing. People love their dogs like family and want nothing but the best for them. I’d like to know my vet cares about me, my dog and my concerns. A simple mask would have helped me know they cared yesterday. Him taking the time to look at my “blood and guts” poop would have also helped quite a bit. If everyone else is wearing masks as mandated, it seems that they should be too. His response could have been anything other than “get a life and take your business elsewhere!!!”.

We started to go to this practice based on the great reviews on Angie’s List. Dr. Mike is very knowledgeable and experienced. Our two cats have their own health issues but Dr. Mike has always been able to find out the root cause and give them the proper treatment. When emergency arises and we are unable to get an appointment with him, he is also willing to call in our pharmacy so that our cats can at least get the medicine they need before they have their appointments scheduled. He would also personally follow up to make sure we receive the medication from the pharmacy. (He has also responded to my many emails and text messages regarding our cats’ health issues after office hours. Yes, we are nervous cat parents! ) Without a doubt he really cares about his patients. The technicians and receptionist are also very helpful. Highly recommended!

As painful as it was Dr. Mike made this as private and loving a ceremony as possible under the circumstances. He's always been kind when we've had to make this painful but unselfish decision with our pets over the last 19 years.

Dr. Mike was very compassionate and really understood our grief. He has been our vet for years and knew what Darla meant to us. Thank you Dr. Mike, you helped our Darla have relief and pass on the the Rainbow Bridge!

Dr. Mike is excellent. Unlike most vets, he seems to care more about the pet than the bottom line. My dog had an issue and any other vet would have told me that I had no other option than surgery. Dr. Mike gave me alternatives. When a doctor suggests a less expensive alternative, it seems clear that the doctor cares more about the patients than the almighty dollar. He also has some kind of strange jedi mind trick that he uses to calm down my normally insane pets.

We use AAA Pet Services for annual check ups, shots, and all veterinary needs for our cat. Have been going to AAA for years and very satisfied with the service and attention to our pet's needs.

Dr. Mike has been so accommodating and kind. He is honest, compassionate and definitely has the best interest of the animals at heart. I would highly recommend.

Well. They have extended the life and quality of life of our dog. This was done without resorting to expensive and unnecessary tests and treatments.

Dr. Mike and the team there is great and will continue to keep coming back.

I have only had good experiences with Dr. Mike and Nicole. My older dog has a lot of health issues and they have been so good with her and in keeping her treatment affordable. I highly recommend this office!

I was referred to a veterinarian in Charlotte about a year ago and was so disappointed in his lack of care for my dogs and his office never retuning my calls or the rough way he handled my dogs or hurt them that I finally went to a caring vet but not before leaving him a bad review. You will be floored by the e- mail and the text that I received from him: Jeane: After your review I have decided to send you all your files and you can find another vet. If you were not happy then you could just have found another vet or voiced your concerns to me to see if we could remedy. Instead you just jump to writing a review online like a coward. We worked you in that day since you waited until the last minute , and unfortunately made a mistake in scheduling, (and good luck in finding vet that is available 24/7). Our machine clearly says we are closed on Tuesday, and if it was that important you should have called back on wednesday when we are open, or signed up for our wellness plans that give your VIP access. If cutting nails is so easy you can try it, and not too mention we have to muzzle your dog too. Maybe you should find another boarding facility if your dogs continue to get kennel cough even with 6 month vaccinations. Good luck finding another vet to just call in Rx anytime you want it... Great visit. Dr. and staff are very personable and professional. Will advise what needs to be done or not done, or what can wait (doesn't try to sell unnecessary services). Prices are acceptable.
